Thank you. Wow! With ratings as good as that I reckon we could take on anyone.  ;D

Always difficult to appreciate performances from the radio commentary yet it sounded like the only thing missing from Tyson's game was a goal but heaven knows, he's trying.

Great to see Cohen return to the squad and lift the game in the midfield and Perch sounded on great form. Pleased to hear that Chambers played well and put in a few great tackles. Didn't hear much from Wes, other than a shot on goal which is probably how it should be with the defence.

It really didn't sound like Brum had much control of the game, bar about the first 30 minutes. Really encouraging reviews which must have a really positive effect upon our team.

Great stuff Forest. More of the same and better please.  ;D

Wow exagerration or what!! We started crap...matched them and then bossed the final 15 mins. Yes we should have won.

Tyson had a good 20 mins.....if he could control the ball better than I can (and I'm not good) he would have scored a couple atleast.

Camp - 7 - Not much to do
Heath - 6 - Looked really dodgy at first, but got better
Wilson - 7 - Good
Morgan - 7 - Good
Chambers - 7 - Good
Anderson - 8 - V.Good
Perch - 9 - MOM
Thornhill - 6 - OK, still too lightweight IMO
Cohen - 7 - Good, but not a winger
Tyson - 8 - Would be 10 for final 15 mins if he had some control
Garner - 7 - Good

McCleary - 8 - Why didn't he start?
Martin - 7 - Effort ATLAST!!

We should have won, a number of chances were achingly close. In the second half the atmosphere was absolutely buzzing, great to hear all 4 stands singing, the enthusiasm definitely carried over onto the pitch.

Lee Camp
: Didn't have an awful lot to do. He came out and claimed crosses well, and his distribution remains to be a great change from Smith. The goal was soft though. 7

Kelvin Wilson(C)
: Fantastic to see Wilson back to his old self. I thought he dealt with Brum strike force well, who on paper look formidable. 8

Wes Morgan: Dealt with everything thrown at him. Had some great surging runs into their half and even had a go at shooting. You will never beat him, don't you know. 8

Joe Heath: He's done well on his cameo appearances this season, today was no exception. A good squad player to have. 7

Luke Chambers: I really am not his biggest fan, but he dealt with there winger very well indeed. Didn't just hoof it at every opportunity either which was a big help. 7

Chris Cohen: He is our engine, and our best player of the season so far. Was everywhere, again. 8

James Perch:Grabbed the crucial goal for us, and did a decent job. Mr Utility. 7

Paul Anderson:I'm glad we've got him for the season, he causes all sorts of problems and wasn't afraid to run at the Birmingham defense. A good performance. 7

Matt Thornhill: Very quiet first half and looked a little lightweight. Sparked up in the second though, and was always one of the first to get into the box on our 'Tyson counter attacks'. 7

Joe Garner: A real battler, won us about 15 free-kicks. I really like the look of him, and he was unlucky not to score. 8

Nathan Tyson: Ran and ran and ran. And ran. Created a number of chances for himself, that he should have put away. They simply couldn't handle his pace, and if his delivery into the box was just a little bit better we would have won today comfortably. 8/9

Subs:
Mcleary: I'm starting to become a big fan, he's really developing into a decent Championship player. After I thought an average performance against Derby, he came on today and was full of tricks, pace and ideas. 8
Martin:Looked like he had a point to prove, put in a number of big tackles and was lively for the last 10 minutes or so. 7

Forest crowd: A bit quiet in the first, absolutely outstanding in the second. I love being a Forest fan sometimes. Good turnout by the Brum lot. 10

Agree with most of that.

McCleary must have needed a rest, lest we forget, he was playing non-league football last season and judging by our injury list we do train quite hard.

I agree with Tricky Wilse although I'd give Wilson and Morgan a 6 - they both looked like an accident waiting to happen on numerous occasions!

I disagree, I thought they both played well...

They both played a risky game.. and were both nowhere to be seen for the Brum goal... most of the times their risks came off, which is a bonus. They weren't awful, just wouldn't go as far as to say good.

Was surprised by how well Chambers played though :)

First Team Squad
Camp 8 - Little to do, highlight was chipping Marcus Bent when clearing a backpass to Heath.
Heath 7 - Nervous start but looked more comfortable as the game wore on
Wilson 7 - Usual steady self
Morgan 8 - Won everything that came his way, looked threatening attacking their goal on more than on occasion.
Chambers - Was out to prove a point and made it, still weaknesses but for the first time this season, he gave it his all.
Anderson 8 - Never gave up, showed why Liverpool rate him so highly.
Cohen 7 - Usual self along with Wilson, work rate superb.
Thornhill 8 - Could maybe should have scored, held his own against Lee Carsley.
Perch 9 - My Man of the Match, won 9/10 challenges, fantastic Defensive midfielder, is this his best position?
Tyson 8 - Ran and ran and ran, used his pace to full effect. Taking away his "kerb" of a first touch he would of had a couple.
Garner 7 - Battled well, still regaining his fitness, looked a real talent at times.

matt1982

Jack Burkitt
Wilson 7 - Usual steady self

I wouldnt agree with this assessment, not in terms of today's performance, but i think he has been dodgy this season, and not mr consistency. Presumably he played because Brecks picked up the bug or something??

He may be a little casual at times but from what I have seen, which includes all Home matches aswell as the Derby, Wolves and QPR games he has been relatively steady.

There is a jump from League One to Championship but opinions have suddenly changed about him. Maybe it was the fact he started so impressively he couldn't maintain that level of consistency.

Judging by the raised eyebrows when Wes was declared MOM I wasnt the only one wondering if theyd watched the same match. While not saying he had a good match, like others on here I feel it should have gone to James Perch.

I think sometimes a MOM award is not always given for their efforts in a game, i think it can be given as a tactical thing, to help boost a players confidence and as such keeps them training and playing with a bit more passion.

a Brum fan:

"Oh my god, what absolute dogshit that was YET AGAIN, all credit to Forest they were far and away the better side and how they never won by four or five goals i'll never know.

Cracking day out though, there was a real edgey atmosphere seemingly everywhere in Nottingham which felt as though it could all just go mental at any moment. We went in the Notts County pub prior to the match where around a thousand brummies were kept in by the old bailey then marched in a police cordon to the ground with little pockets of moody Forest fans stood on every corner, in the ground i thought the atmosphere continued to have that edgey feel and credit to the Forest lot to our left and up to our right they backed their team throughout, which very few fans seem to do these days, ourselves included.

From the moment we scored we went to pieces on the pitch and Forest were over us like a rash and wholey deserved their goal. McLeish continues to baffle everyone with his garbage tactics and team selection, the fans were getting on his back toward the end with a nice rendition of 'what a load of rubbish' at the final whistle.

Back outside was as moody as ever with police absolutely everywhere, trying to stop the noses going toward the bridge which they failed at, it was pitch black, police sirens going off all over the place, police running all round, it was brilliant, just like going to football back in the late eighties.

Great day, Great ground, utter utter utter bullshit performance.

Good luck with survival Forest, i'm looking forward to coming to Nottingham again next year.

Going the pub now to finish off getting pissed!!!"
