It is the right move - from what I have seen of him he is not good enough for us at the moment - would have prefered him to go to a better club as Cardiff are broke and will just be trying to avoid relegation - but prehaps Cardiff are the only club that wanted him
Wasn't he a bit shit when he went back to Blackpool last season

Seen as he signed for us and then signed for Oly immediately Im pretty confident he knew exactly what was happening.
I'd be surprised if he wasn't aware he was being sent to Greece but I'm also not sure it was said that he'd never play for the club he signed for unless we got relegated.

Well he signed from an almost relegated club, went back to a relegated club i'm pretty certain he did know that he was part of the "if we go down" player list...

And I'm sure the massive hike in his wages made that move easy.

Not sure anyone could accuse Omar of a lack of concert- he's always very concerned isn't he?!

Never lack of concert from Omar. He’s always putting on a performance.

There's a level of arrogance required to become an elite footballer - I'm sure JB would have gone to Oly thinking he'd tear it up and earn a crack at the prem with us.

I don't know what he thought, but he decidedly looked sub par here. And it was not for lack of trying. Very old-fashioned footballer who seemed to lack basic qualities for top level football. If I didn't know that he was supposed to be good in the Championship I would have thought that he came from a League One club.

A bit like Ojeda and Laryea last year, he got a chance against County, didn't really do anything to write home about and was promptly shifted out.
Suspect he was supposed to be a bit like O'Brien and Toffolo, if we went back down, we were set the next season for some decent Championship players.

Forward thinking, I like it. You never know, might tear it up at Cardiff and get sold next summer for more than we bought him for. That said, don't think an industrial sized dose of viagra could have kept that Blackpool team up last year so no wonder he looked out of sorts.

(Conveniently forgot, they put us out of the FA Cup.)

I remember you saying he looked awful - he's a funny one, since his breakout championship season was only really half a season returns wise: he went on a streak of goals after Christmas in his Blackpool season where he was unplayable at times - he was an inverted twisty/turny running at pace type looking to work it into his left for a finish.

Prior to that streak though he'd done very little at champ level - the season before he was playing premier league 2 football but not very often, and the season before he did very little in terms of returns for hull.

I suppose it's just as likely he fades to nothing as kicks on this year, though having seen him at his best I totally get why Cooper (and Corberan) wanted him, even if both clubs ended up a step too far for him. Good luck to the lad - it'll be the second time he hasn't made the step up, but let's hope he can find his mojo from that streak as he clearly had something then.

A goal and the key build up for the second for Cardiff as they have a 2-0 lead at Leeds in the first half.
