Good to loan him out, but I don't really see what the point in signing him was in the first place.

Think the point was cooper thought he'd get us promoted if we went down and/or had top level potential. Loan to Oly went south when corberan was sacked.Good to loan him out, but I don't really see what the point in signing him was in the first place.

I understand that, but it felt like a signing too far at the time and it's only looking worse with hindsight. No big deal, just a bit futile feeling.Johnson replacement in the case of immediate relegation.
No need to be panicking trying to find a replacement with weeks to go before season starts (see this transfer window for reasons why) with other clubs knowing you've got a large transfer kitty because you just sold your star boy for £40m+
I think Corberan would have used him had he lasted more than five minutes - at the time it suited both clubs, three games(?) later not so much.I understand that, but it felt like a signing too far at the time and it's only looking worse with hindsight. No big deal, just a bit futile feeling.

Playing for the right manager would help - he's had some shit luck there with Corberan sacked and McCarthy coming in at Blackpool and trying to convert him to a midfielder.Hopefully he impresses and we can get some of the money we spent on him back.
If anything it was the opposite. It was a forward-looking signing by Dane Murphy at the time in my opinion.
I’m presuming we didn’t hold a gun to his head and he actually wanted a big money move?I'm sure he got a few extra quid for it but we messed with this lad's career and life really by signing him just in case we go down again
He probably did but perhaps not under the pretext that we were going to kill a year of his career and use him only as a back up plan if we go down.I’m presuming we didn’t hold a gun to his head and he actually wanted a big money move?
You think so?No harm done really.
We should recoup most of what we've paid out.
As usual, every part of that is nonsense. It's also laughable how you've suddenly become concerned for a player's welfare because it suits your earlier lazy, throwaway comment. If anything it was the opposite.
It was a panicky signing for me. It's like he became available and we felt like we had to get him so nobody else does. And then when we did we had no idea what to do with him so packed him off to Greece.
I'm sure he got a few extra quid for it but we messed with this lad's career and life really by signing him just in case we go down again.
I assume that's why we're only letting him go on loan now too, because we Might go down and then we'll need him...great confidence-booster that. I'm sure he'd be really motivated to perform for us
Not sure anyone could accuse Omar of a lack of concert- he's always very concerned isn't he?!As usual, every part of that is nonsense. It's also laughable how you've suddenly become concerned for a player's welfare because it suits your earlier lazy, throwaway comment.
Concerned that Forest will prove him wrong. Not sure anyone could accuse Omar of a lack of concern - he's always very concerned isn't he?!
Surely he can't be concerned by that as time invariably proves him wrong.Concerned that Forest will prove him wrong.
Seen as he signed for us and then signed for Oly immediately Im pretty confident he knew exactly what was happening. He probably did but perhaps not under the pretext that we were going to kill a year of his career and use him only as a back up plan if we go down.
