Joshua Luke Bowler

Rockabilly

GAFF LAD. "Open your knees and feel the breeze"
I like the look of him. Gerrim in!

I really like Bowler -- terrific player to watch. Has that old-fashioned quality of being direct and going for it at every opportunity. Whether we have room for him now is a whole other question, but as one for the future he's definitely add something to the squad.
If we’ve got room for Mighten we’ve definitely got room for Bowler. Even as first change winger he’s going to get a lot if prem minutes…

He rejected our approaches in January.
He should have taken the chance to join us then, and contributed to our promotion push.
Now we are Premiership, I think we should reject him on medical grounds.
Captain, you can’t hold it against him for staying loyal to the club that gave him his chance. That’s a feather in his cap as far as I’m concerned.

I tend to agree, im sure at the time Blackpool were only a few points behind us as well and that we weren't in the playoffs either so could have believed that staying put could give him as much chance of going up as leaving for us. He also turned down Bournemouth too didn't he?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I can't remember us having had a bid accepted by Blackpool so we wouldn't been able to make Bowler an offer to join us anyway?

Either way it's hardly like the lad Verhoek'd/Moreno'd us, so I don't see why we should hold it against him.

Didn’t he come through the Everton academy?
Wouldn’t be surprised if they start sniffing around seeing as we’ve put a bid in.

They pinched him off QPR when he was a kid

Incidentally was also at Fulham at the same time as Omar Richards (RIP)

The Toffees paid £1.5m for him - with add-ons totaling £4.25m, although its very unlikely QPR saw any of the latter. It didn't happen for him there so he went on loan to Hull to replace Jared Bowen.

Was probably about the time they were sniffing around Brennan too.
Appropriate business model for that shit streak of a club-pinch clubs in lower leagues best youth prospects rather than buy your own.

He likes to give the impression he's in-the-loop info-wise, whilst rarely providing anything remotely of substance from my observations. That he now demands payment is, quite frankly, laughable.
I don't know how he can be in any loop with his block button on 24hr constant defence mode

Although he clocks a lot, he has a health 111k Twitter followers.

If 1% of them subscribe to his Patreon at £2/month that's an extra £2k in his bank. All he's doing is filing copy and letting people have access a few hours earlier. Not hard work for him.

Not a bad supplemental income to what he gets from The Sun.

It doesn't really matter about his content. He's doing a service to agents, so occasionally the info will be correct and that's enough to keep the blocker blocking.

Yeah, Blackpool turned us down not Bowler. We never got close to agreeing a fee.
