If we're talking about being in the PL I think it will be another 2-3 years Alf. You're looking at the first batch of aspiring players choosing us as a PL option frosm last season. It will be another 2 years before they come through.

I'm told there's a lot of expectations for some within our current U-16s which ties-in with Notcher's comments about when we're likely to see the benefits of Cat 1 status begin to show through. Even then, there's still a considerable amount of uncertainty at that young age.

I don’t think it is much of a surprise. Has a British player ever had a successful spell over there? Certainly long term?

He’d have been better off dropping back to the championship and getting some games in.

It never looked like a good move to me, seemed more like he just wanted to get away from Nottingham for a bit then look at his options in Summer.

Any Championship team challenging at the top should be looking at him in Summer.

I still think when he’s in a 3 at the back formation he can hack in the PL, as a 2 his weaknesses get exposed though.
