Covid permitting..

Would like to know the situation here.

I would imagine these players would have covid tests that they wanted to stay with the senior group unless they were the players known to have covid?

We probably talking a GK, Back, Fornah & maybe Hammond, Donnelly & a forward?

On the replay the challenge he got hurt in looked a proper stinker - opposition players foot on top of JOTTs foot and ended up dragging his ankle back.

I thought it looked nasty but the sort of thing you get over quickly.

Yes-I thought Hull were a really nasty team-the sort that look to go about injuring players and whilst I don't want to see the physicality out of the game its not the sort of thing anyone wants to see, particularly where young players are concerned.

Both injuries from the Hull game.

How are Lowe and Lolley getting on? With Spence out for the Boro game and possibly returning in Jan we're looking pretty thin.

Ah ok thanks.

Yeah we're looking a bit threadbare. All the more important that we try and hang on to Spence in January although my expectation is he'll go back to Boro.

Lowe coming back in would be a massive bonus, I can't remember when he was expected to be fit?

Not nice to see a young professional with obvious potential suffer with so many injuries, but at this point you have to think it's better for all parties if we send him back

I think a couple of weeks ago Cooper said Lowe was back ‘on the grass’ so u’d expect him to be fairly close. Our xmas fixtures are relatively spaced out so perhaps gives time for lolly, Lowe to return and not miss too many fixtures. Though tu-tu injury impacts our ability to effectively play wing backs.

Disappointing. I saw somewhere the player was expecting to be fit for Boro, if he's out for 2 months that's rubbish.

You got to feel so sorry for him. He would have worked his whole life to get to this position and it must be mentally exhausting knowing you will struggle to finish 90 minutes.

Got to send biscuit legs back to arsenal. It’s jenkinson all over again

Sorry to have to say this, but I totally agree.
Osei-Tutu had a bad injury that kept hom out for months at Cardiff last season.
Since being with us he has had a repeat of the hamstring... out for 3 months, and now an ankle injury (obviously soft tissue, which is a bugger to get over, and certainly not a quick recovery), so out for another 2 months.
And psychologically, when he does return to competitive games he will be expeting something else to happen, and as a result it will probably make him more tentative going into a challenge (which in itself can result in more easily picked up injuries).
Final thought from me is that he really isn't a left back anyway, and in Spens, with Fin Back and Mo Drager we have ample cover at right back.
So, for me it should be a quick call to Arsenal, "We wrapped up the bits and he is coming back to you. Thanks for the loan, but we won't ever be coming to you for another full back".

While he is injured he will be back at Arsenal recovering there and there is no limit to the amount of loans you can have in the squad, so why send him back?

He has shown he can cover both the left back and right back spots, which could be very useful as we get to the back end of the season and dare I say, playoffs?

And nobody knows the arrangements for who is covering his wages while on loan, so there is very little point in speculating if it will save us a few quid by sending him back.

That’s a bit harsh sinister-firstly the terms of the loan may not allow us to send him back just cos he got BBC an injury. Secondly he’s clearly a quality player and as always with loans there’s a reason he’s out at a lower club and in desmonds case it’s probably because he’s been stop
And start-if it works out we have another Spence but if not we’ll Mea Culpa-we knew what we were getting

there is, you can only have 5 loans in a squad

In a matchday squad. You can have more than 5 at the club in total.

It doesn't make any sense to keep him unfortunately, as much as he's impressed when he's played, he's just an absolute biscuit.

With Spence now confirmed staying and backup in the form of Drager, Back and potentially Richardson, then there's no need for Tutu. Yes he can play left back as well but he's not properly comfortable there so if we really want another left back option alongside Lowe that isn't Colback or Bong (and given we chased Benito, it seems like we definitely do) then it makes more sense to cancel this loan and get an actual left back in who can play more than 20 minutes every three months.

So if Forest have the ability to terminate this loan then we should be doing that.

The only reason to keep him would be Lowes backup since we don’t have a wingback behind him. I know Colback could play left back but we’re just dogshit with a back four.

But we really need to find a LWB of our own, and buy Lowe in the summer.

In addition to all that, the fact that we'll probably bring in a few loan signings this month (in addition to today's signing of Keinan Davis) means that there might not be space for Osei-Tutu in the matchday squads anyway. It just doesn't make sense to keep him here any longer for me.

He really hasn’t impressed at left back.
Mentally he is surely dreading every tackle now as it might be the tackle that causes another injury.
He should be with his contracted club, being treated and nurtured by them, not up in the sticks, away from friends and family, knowing he is a liability in the short term.

Tbf he was getting the ball SO MUCH on that left hand side before getting clattered and injured.
