I can only see 1 downside (I don't like to be negative). Greg Dyke must be really hating us now. He's got some recruiting to do. We won't be getting many decisions in our favour where the FA are involved (probably not much change then?).

Wow. Fantastic appointment. Real pedigree and probably a list the size of Ron Jeremy's shlong of potential players in the lower league and above. We really are building a fantastic back room staff and foundation for this club to move forward. This bought genuine excitement to me reading this. Well done Pierce and Fawazzle.

Three were part of the end of season parade. I think one of those was Terry the kitman too.
Really positive vibe coming from the club at the moment, we're putting some really well experienced and respected backroom staff into a place. It can only be a good thing, not just in terms of management but in terms of attracting greater quality players and staff still in an avalanche effect.

This clamour for a CEO is another baffling thing. it's obvious we're working towards sorting the club out, why do we have to put a date on rushing someone in, instead of taking our time finding the right chap? :dunno:

Becuase Fawaz said we'd have one but June 1st didn't he? His fault for the pressure if this is the case - might not be though and I might have just read some #ITK's post.
But yea, we've done fine without one by getting 2 signings - more can be done though, and a proper CEO would surely generate more money.

Fawaz did say June 1st. But why does that mean Forest fans have to demand one is definitely in place by then?
The most important thing is to get the right person for the job, not just appoint one in order to make a date that Fawaz plucked out of the air in a off hand comment 3 months ago. Things may have changed in that time, people might have turned down the job, or Fawaz may just not have found the right fit for the club yet.
It does my head in, that any comment is held up as a promise, or indisputable fact, but we the club to talk more.
Whatever happens, I'd much rather he take his time and get it right, rather than panic and rush to get someone in just to calm some moaning fans down.

Well he told us we'd have one in place on June the 1st then didn't get one? Can you not see why some fans would start getting on his back. It's easier for him to just not make such comments, not criticising him but he's the one setting it up as this big thing, that a CEO is important, and he's the one saying he'll get one in by June 1st (which is pretty similar to promising one) It wasn't just a throw away "merh ill try and get one by June 1st" it was a "By June 1st we'll have a CEO" I'm not bothered by it - but any fans are only disappointed by expectations he set.
Personally, I thought the June 1st deadline would apply to the 'right man'. Appointing the right man is a job that needs doing (not right now, but in the long run we will need a CEO) and Fawaz hasn't done this job. Luckily he's the big man otherwise he'd be sacked for not meeting his (own) deadlines
I agree, we need to appoint the right person, but it is something that IMO would be better to get sorted sooner rather than later. I think only a small majority of fans actually care anyway, appointing the wrong person would be detrimental if it was just to appease some fans.
