To be fair, I've seen people online talking about his personality, attitude, etc.

I think we've had this before with Djed Spence being labelled a troublemaker or not applying himself properly. Lewis Grabban had a bad rep too.

Cooper always finds a way with his man management skills and Jesse will be the life and soul of the dressing room. He'll be a fun character, which can only bring positive vibes. Also musn't forget he's won cups and has a lot of International caps. So he's not a waster. West Ham said he was the fittest player at the club when he arrived on loan and he hadn't been playing for Man United. Also did a workout video during lockdown to help people get fit. Easy to look at the negatives, but Cooper will embrace him and make him feel loved.

You know when I wrote I just hope the club protect themselves in case we go down because of his wages well they have only given him a 1 year contract. That’s superb work and shows me even more this is now a really really smart shrewd ran football club. It’s only 10 mill in total and more proven then Gibbs white. So you can only say fair play.

Only thing is i can’t stand his social media presence it comes across so self indulgent and as an England he is not good enough for England but he’ll do for us.

I posted earlier references from within the game and they were all positive. The only people that critique his character are people moaning about him dancing.

I never got the feeling he is a trouble maker but he’s definetly so vain and I can’t stand that about him. If he performs shite his vainness will only irk.

More to the point Lingard will have to adapt to the personalities of the players we currently have. If he wants to fit in and be the Joker of the room he's going to need to work hard and be humble too, because otherwise the other players will think he's a cock.

And you know what, Lingard will want to go to Qatar as well. Cooper will be telling him if he wants to go he'll need to knuckle down and give it his all because he's not going to get an automatic ticket on the plane because we are not Liverpool or Man City and that won't happen to him here.

Work hard, reap rewards. Both him and us.

The disbelievers might even start to believe now.

I am referring to the Premier league crowd who think relegation is almost a given for every promoted team.
