It's also the same Jamie Paterson who Bristol City wanted rid of so sent him to Derby on loan, where he also couldn't get a game so all parties cancelled his loan contract.

Finding that manager who instead of getting upset and offended with cheeky and challenging characters, can talk to them, turn them around and get them to do the business for us, generating an us against the world impact. With EVERY SINGLE PLAYER on board with it.

Two, for some reason, but they have been merged (when you merge two threads together, the original one remains only as a permanent redirect, so if you click on that one, you end up in the „correct“ thread anyway (the merged one).

Has been a steady Champ player for years now, scoring at least 5 goals in each of the last 3 seasons. Considering what Davies got from McGugan and the fact he got 9 goals in 13 from Patterson (if I remember right), I would have loved to have seen what Billy could have got from him given time.

Sadly not to be, and he's 29 & on the decline now. Not what we need.

But he & McGugan serve as a good example of right manager + right player gives us far greater results than throwing random players at a manager, and hoping he can do something with them.

Odd that, because after we signed Pato in 2013 we won 10, drew 9 and only lost 4 in the League. So a 2013 with Pato here, we hauled 39pts from 23 games to sit 5th Dec 29th 2013.

We also won 3 cup games and drew 1 out of 4.

He ended the season with 12 goals.
