I remember watching that game. It was Norwich.

IIRC, it was a FA Youth Cup QF at the City Ground. Murphy or his brother scored.

We played Norwich in the FAYC semi-final in 2013, drew 1-1 on aggregate & lost on pens at Carrow Rd.

The Murphy twins played for Norwich. Smith, Grant, Blake, Wallace, Otim were in the Forest side.

Signing Murphy on loan, possibly with an option to buy would be superb business.

Another Newcastle player falling more into the punt category as a CM/AM is Henri Saivet. He hasn't delivered for them, but that's true of most of their squad to be fair.

Transfermarkt have his contract at Newcastle expriring next summer. Would imagine they'll try and find a buyer before agreeing to any loan.

Would be a decent buy for the right price, always been highly rated but seemed to take a step up at Sheff Weds last season.

He's someone who i'd push to get. So lively, such a dangerous player, has pace and directness, knows how to beat his man. In this league, I think he's a real match winner.
