Should have walked away from Ireland after Euro 16. Him and Keano have been slowly destroying international football in Ireland since. By far the worst state I've ever known it to be in.

That said, he's a legend (ditto Keane), it'll be a right laugh and I didn't want to go up anyway.

Twenty years later and NFFC finally get their preferred choice.

I loved Martin as a player and hoped he would become manager one day. There’s no doubting he’s the best manager of all the Clough legends, but I assumed that ship had sailed, aren’t sure whether it still has, but f*** it why not. I’d written the season off anyway, so anything else is a bonus.

What Martin will bring is clarity of purpose and he certainly doesn’t suffer fools.

You know what, this might just be magic. This club has a lot of baggage that only someone like MON could dislodge. He can carry the weight of all that and helpfully let the team play for once.

I like O'Neill as a pundit but as a manager I'm massively underwhelmed. I do hope he doesn't bring Keane though, he's a bellend.
