Going on the fact he's under contract and the fees touted for previous PL moves. Apparently he's the one we want and can't imagine they'll want to give him away.

My guess it'll be around the £10-15m including the add-ons ballpark, seems about the going rate at the minute.

That's what I'm thinking too - suppose it could be less but imagine they'll want a profit on the 6m (euros) they paid now he's an established international? Plus PL tax...

why not ? He ran afoul of his manager and was fined and dropped for disciplinary reasons, he has no future at the club and monaco doesn't need him. Their main left back is Caio Henrique.

That's quite a one sided take - I imagine they will want a profit on their investment: they paid 6m for him based on potential and he now has international (world cup), champions league and Europa League experience.

I hope those of you thinking he comes for what they paid are right, but I expect 9m minimum, probably more, with either a sell on % or add-ons.

(I dont think we are dealing with a Shelvey situation here.)

I love this kind of thread when none of us have seen him play, aren’t sure exactly where in the left he plays as he stats are widely different each season, have guessed his rating in our priorities, guessed a price and then getting panicked about that being too much. The only thing we do actually know is he is fast 😂

Think we'll all have seen him play funnily enough - didn't he play v England in the world cup? Agree with the sentiment though!

We did but it expired before the end of the season as far as I am aware. Before we had guaranteed staying up if I remember correctly so I guess we didn't want to commit to paying that fee if we were in the champ.
You could argue it could have been negotiated better so it expired after the season ended but we aren't privy to the details or reasons why that date was agreed upon.

One that got away maybe but hopefully we can find another quality LB/LWB and move forward

It wasn’t to do with negotiations or timings of fees. It was as simple as his family not wanting to come to England. End of story on that one.
