From the sound of it from Tails article, it sounds like nothing is close. Can't see any further additions before the Arsenal game personally.

I'm only going by transfermarkt to be fair which has him at around €7m. Truffert and Maatsen would be way more than that for example.

We’ve clearly trying to cut short term outlay/costs on a couple of moves. Juve lad becomes the new favourite on a loan with option is my guess.

As mentioned before they paid over 6 and have been looking for fees around 10 prior to his international breakthrough.

I now wonder what we offered and the quoted fee was - it would be a bit of a concern if five minutes of googling lead me to a more accurate idea of what they want than ScotchRoss!

I don't even reckon we got to the stage of offering which is the stupid thing. Weve probably spoken to his agent who has confirmed he's available and might be interested, then we've blabbed to Fabrizio and then at that point decided to actually ask how much Monaco want which is far beyond what we are prepared to pay, alerting other teams to his availability and making us look like knobs.

Its Whittingham and Pratley all over again!

This one’s making me laugh. When we supposedly paying £8m or whatever it was he was shit, we were overpaying, it was a massive gamble etc etc. Now I’m hearing we’re messing around making lowball offers, or not even bidding at all and how embarrassing it all is.

Maybe we just had an interest, enquired, the price is a bit steep, and we’ve moved on. Or cooled it for now at least.

My only concern with it is that I've heard the 'Cooper's primary target for the position' line a few times now from different places, and I'd like it we landed those for him.

I am interested to know what the quoted fee is: if we're walking away at above 15m I understand, if we were in at between 7 and 11 I don't. Not that I'll get to find out, unless we eventually land him and find out the fee then. And perhaps we'll see some movement in the next week or so, given we are still using Powell as currently out only natural/avaliable left back...

I guess so but the issue I have is Fabrizio being informed by someone at the club in all probability.

What he tweets tends to come direct from sources at clubs, admittedly he's a bit of a "goal hanger" in that he only tweets things that are more likely than not to already be happening.

I have no issue with us seeing if players are available, even baulking at asking prices and walking away is fine, its the PR around all of the showing our interest that annoys me.

Another example is that someone has told him (Fabrizio) we are signing Turner OR Henderson but not both, Arsenal apparently now want £18m, Man U want who knows what and weve not made progress in either deal.
