So The Posh agreed to a meeting with the Agent even though the Player had not talked to the Manager.

Nope, they agreed to a meeting with the player AND his agent. Only the agent showed up.

So when Darren Fergusn said "we spoke with the player and his wage demands were too high" what he really meant was the the player failed to make the meeting and his agent said "how much dough"?

Football's a funny old game.

Forget it............he's had a hip operation and will be out for 2 - 3 months.
Would of been typical for us to have bought him and not played.

Whitbread does not feature in the Millwall 2010 calendar and that's a sure sign he's going somewhere. It may not be the City Ground, but my Millwall fan mate is gutted, reckons he's a really good player.

That would be a sideway move , the reason why Whitbread didn't want to sign a extension to his contract with Millwall was because he wanted a move to a higher level. Depending on his pricetag and fitness level , he might be one to look at.

I'd be surprised by this as his reason for not sigining an extension was to play at a higher level and put himself in contentention for a place in the USA world cup squad.

Huddersfield will win the play-offs, though, so it'll be a good move for him.

They play some good stuff with a quality young team. Thornhill's going there as well from what I've heard.

I like that logic, Patrick Vieira must not be up to scratch for Billy either :D

Hold on Al, what's the point when "the new Viera" is back from injury? We have the young, fit version. I bet Wenger was loving it last night... Probably puttting a 10m bid together as we type... Saying that he might be a bit old now to be a "Venga Boy".
