I don't think his representatives chatting in Greece is reflective of anything relating to how close we are but we could be. I would think personal terms are being "hammered out" and that's the necessary step.

It's pretty exciting though, especially relative to some other links.

Same here. I think we were a little shell shocked by premier league midfield play last year. This was amplified by the lack of a true physical presence, as Freuler and Orel were asked to sit deeper than their historic preference.

I've just read that looks like Fabinho is off to Saudi for 40million.

Although not mentioned in recent reports, I wonder if Liverpool may go in for Sangare to replace him considering previous interest they've had for the player and after getting Gakpo off them as well.

Wouldn’t shock me. Teams often like negotiating with clubs they’ve previously had businesses with. Saw reports of them looking at Lavia though

They were looking at Lavia before the bus for Fabinho came in so he wasn't a replacement but an addition.

Now that it looks Fabinho is off they'll need a replacement for him so wouldn't be surprised if they go for both, or at least Lavia and one more.

And if rumours are that Henderson is off as well they'll be on the hunt for a 3rd midfielder.
