A great recent interview with the Forest legend.
Cheers Rocka I’ll try to catch that later
A great recent interview with the Forest legend.
Aye, after recent events I thought it would be wise Frank.I'm glad you added the words in brackets to the thread title Gary!
I absolutely concur Chris. As well as being a great player, Bomber is the most 'normal', un-starry, unaffected ex-sportsman you could ever meet in person. He still remains firmly amongst my top-5 favourite Forest players (Jeff Whitefoot, Joe Baker, IS-M and Robbo being the others).Met him as well, three weeks back. An absolute gentleman.
Loved that

IIRC the Post headline was "WUNDEBAR!! AS BOWYER STOOPS TO CONQUER!"View attachment 25856

I remember seeing a bed sheet that read "BIRTLES WILL WIPE THE FLOOR WITH AJAX"Japanese Sub sinks Forest...
Nottingham Forest wipe the floor with Ajax
Did the arms on the chairs have tattoos?Had “Welcome to Beirut“ sprayed on the wall where I lived when I was a boy,
It was that rough for safety the dogs walked about in pairs,
But you know what I loved the place.
Aye that’s the one ……Did the arms on the chairs have tattoos?
Also-‘Forest smash the Berlin Wall’ (or something similar) was an Evening Post headline after ourJapanese Sub sinks Forest...

You should do.Aye that’s the one ……
Going in the pub you’d be asked “got any weapons on ya?” If you answered “no“ they’d ask what do you want ?…..
I loved it, so many funny things happened around the square , could write a book on my time growing up in Roker, following Forest and spending time with the lads.
I’d need to change the names to protect the innocentYou should do.
You know it can be done
Sent from another dimension. Pay close attention.
It was that rough where I lived we often had to take a detour through the supermarket to get home. After all it was a Safeway*Had “Welcome to Beirut“ sprayed on the wall where I lived when I was a boy,
