The sad thing is that it would have known about but condoned and brushed under the carpet - “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing."

When such things happen in religious groups, it is generally the power the Priest, Rabbi, Imam or Pastor has over his community that keeps the lid on things, often with the help of their superiors. However even with pushy helicopter parents, I still find it hard to believe that his activities were not common knowledge amongst the local football fraternity and beyond?

When I was a young and impressionable lad in the '50s we all knew you had to be careful around scout leaders, certain vicars and others of that ilk.

Why have lads of later generations forgotten these wise words?

Spot on mate. Most of us knew who to avoid and never be alone with.

A lad in my class was sodomised by the Greengrocer he worked for on Saturday mornings, and it only came to light because a neighbour whose husband was in the Navy put two and two together and told the parents what she suspected. The parents were Chapel folk so no sexual issues where ever discussed at home. Very naive.

Yaxley-Lennon and his mob should be all over this.

While I understand the sentiment, surely it's better to stop perpetrators committing crimes than telling people to watch out.

Bit like it's wrong to tell girls not to wear short skirts or drink when the onus should be telling lads rape is not ok.

If you see a group of lads in Chav wear on a street corner you tend to watch your back more than if it is a group of OAPs. That is just a simple Risk Assessment.

The brevity of young girl's clothing and how much they drink is relative to where they are. Any wise parent would advise their young daughter to avoid being provocatively dressed or too drunk depending on where she was going.

Wearing a bikini on the beach is acceptable, but wearing skimpy clothing on the street not always is.

I'd walk through the middle of them. My actions wouldn't merit me being mugged, just like someone's clothes or intoxication shouldn't mean you can rape them.

You saying lads can't help but rape someone if they flashed a bit too much?

...and 999/1000 nothing would happen, they're generally just bored kids the same as we were.

I thought you had daughters Chris? Are you not going to say something if they try to go out of the house inappropriately dressed or come home ratarsed from dodgy parties?

Girls often lose the plot around 14 to 16 and boys lose it at 16 to 18, it is part of growing up, but as you should know the risks are high and you need to be vigilant.

Have you raised teenagers? I have.

There is nothing more complex and hazardous than teenagers forming and discovering sexual relationships and in spite of the Feminist BS the laws of nature will always apply in that the boy chases the girl.

The old adage that a bloke who shags a different woman every night is virile but a woman who gets shagged by a different bloke very night is a whore, will never ever change.

My daughter is six. So a bit early for „the talk“.

But she will be brought up right, and will learn a certain set of perhaps unusual skills not normally found in teenagers when she’s older that will stand her in good stead.

So you're happy in the knowledge your lads couldn't help themselves raping somebody?

I worried about my lads getting falsely accused of rape by some girl regretting what she had done in the heat of the moment.

Rape is one of the most difficult crimes to solve or prosecute, because it often hinges on "he said she said".

Do you subscribe to these feminist notions that "she must always be believed" and that you need signed consent documents at every step of the relationship? Good luck with that.

All a bit vague. Can you define 'provocatively' and 'inappropriately' dressed and what classes a 'dodgy' party.

I expect every complaint to be treated the same, whether that's the alegation or the denial/alegation it's fake. The police investigate and if there's enough evidence the CPS prosecute. If your advice to girls worried about rape is cover up, don't go to parties etc then the advice to lads should be don't have sex, especially if shes pissed and might regret it and where does signed consent come into it?
