I’m looking forward to Scarpinha arriving
I translated a few comments.

- how did they allow a player of this level to leave for free. The board are pigs.
- Scarpa is a very smart guy
- if there was a Football Professional of the Year award Scarpa would be the winner
- I’m going to be Scarpa’s widow
- Good player. Excellent at dead balls
- A good corner taker, nothing more
- This citizen here plays a lot of ball
- My mother needs help please send money

Also a few references to crack.

Whilst I do think its a shame that we've kind of shafted Oly on this one, I am excited about this guy. Clearly a very good player and could be vital if he is able to adjust quickly enough to make an impact in the 2nd half of the season.

Although “craque” in Portuguese literally translates as “crack”, in the football sense it means a top player.

I believe it comes from early days in football in the country when Brits might have referred to a good player as a “crack shot”.

So it’s a good thing - no need to worry what he’s smoking!

Appears to have done an interview in Brazil confirming he's coming here and not Oly:

He doesn’t actually say where he’s going in that clip. The interviewer asks him how much his left peg is worth and he jokes that he’s leaving for free.

Goes on to say that he is playing the best football of his career and that he wants to keep putting in good performances for the fans and the club to show that he is not just waiting for his contract to expire.

He talks very well, not your average cliched footballer. I wouldn’t be surprised if he has a decent level of English already based on how erudite his responses are.
