I was bored between meetings so...

My concern with Forest is goal differential. They’re 3 behind now. Hoping we’ve got the automatic sewed up before they visit the Vitality.

Not surprised forest have closed the gap but now Easter is key. Need to beat Boro and Coventry while hope forest drop points at Luton and home to West Brom.

Of the 7 matches left, Forest have 5 away from home, while we only have 3. That makes a big difference.

Good point! I think only Forest can realistically stop us. But if just one weekend we win and they lose it is effectively over. Also if Forest did catch us, we have the opportunity to regain second when we play them at home. So it's well in our hands.

The first thing to bear in mind is that if Forest win their next two games and Bournemouth lose theirs, Bournemouth are out of the autos.

If these results happen then it changes the mentality totally - forest feel the pressure of what they might lose whereas afcb would have to be a bit more adventurous.

Different dynamics which might suit us and we would have got out of the way some tough games.

Boro's star player has been missing last 2 games, the right winger jones. He's fairly crucial to how good they are.

I think you'll find boros star player is actually nottingham forests star player who is my favourite player and will be bayern munichs star player before Christmas.

Forests odds now at 6/1. Makes me laugh that the bookies could not see this week of results happening! To be offering 18/1 a week ago was very very shortsighted of them.

Here's the current sets of simulations from 538. Little has changed today, as Forest had been odds on to beat Birmingham, whereas Shef U were favourites for today's game. 88% chance of promotion still looks rosy. I wouldn't change places with any of those chasing us.

Plus dont forget, forest have the best experience of an end of season meltdown.

Fulham 2 down to Coventry. That is not good for us tbh. We don’t want Cov picking up momentum before our game. The fact that they are winning at Fulham while Forest dispatched them with ease on Wednesday is also a worry.

Forest did not ‘dispatch Coventry with ease’ at all. I watched the game. Forest deserved to win, but it was not a simple as you make out.

My Mate who is a Fulham fan but was educated at the School of AFCB Vitals reckons they have blown it.

Are Forest going to win the league?

I like this one the most...

So the fearless younglings built on a "go for the throat" ethos which has dispatched Prem sides this season, and which effortlessly blasted it's way out of a relegation fight to where we are now, is gonna buckle from pressure?

Our lads are killers. The higher they go, the more blood they thirst for.

I like the way it just ends with “are Forest going to win the league?”

They’ve not only talked themselves into blowing second place to us, they’ve talked us into first too

Their comments sound fair enough to me. It's theirs to lose and we can't afford to slip up, whereas they have already (and still can). I still think we'll finish in the playoffs, despite being surprised at us catching 5 points on them this week.

I'm on their forum, the site is awful and I can't find it on Tapatalk. They aren't that confident although there's plenty of bluster going on. I'll keep teasing them 'til I get kicked off.

I asked if Forest could finish in 2nd place.

Some comments.

I think it’s possible and I’m more nervous of it now than a week ago. I’d be much happier if they started dropping some points.

If I told you I had a crystal ball that said Forest beat us, how comfortable is a 3 point gap?
I would rather be in our position than Forest's. The way this season has gone, it wouldn't surprise me for us to be 9-10 points clear in a couple of games time, or level on points with Forest.

Luton need a big response on Friday !

Ditto - on a similar post after Saturday I though Easter could be key in understanding if what was likely to happen. So, 2 wins from 2 hard games would really set us up for the Fulham match esp if forest drop points too.

2 poor results combined with forest keep winning and the pressure really is on. But we would still be in a good position. Adds a bit of jeopardy that, in turn, adds to the excitement!

The top flight often used to see Easter as a make or beak time but sadly the premier league calendar has phased thus out. Used to get 3 games in a short period of time. Clearly a nightmare for players’ welfare but amazing drama. This year’s championship likely to be pivotal for the top ten.

Yeah, it is going to be a roller coaster. Potential 6 point swing either way. Impossible to predict, but Forest hasn't lost since Jan. 30 so they are due for a stumble. I agree that our run-in is tougher than theirs, but they have 5 matches away including Luton, Fulham and AFCB. We can't back in, for sure, but we don't have to be perfect either.

The Huddersfield-Luton result caused a shuffling in the places below us. The gap is now only four points. However, with the large goal difference it might as well be still be six, especially as the two-match advantage with Huddersfield is restored.
On Sunday, Fulham remained within sight (just) while Coventry stayed on the list and retain an interest in a playoff place.
Going into Friday, we still need 16 points assuming Forest get maximum points until the end of the season. Forest must win two more than we do and they still have to play us. Come on Luton?

Really can't see Forest winning all their games
Now they have a five game winning streak, can predict that won't last(could be wrong)into remaining games.
Still think it's ours to lose .

hypothetical question: would you swap our current league position ( and remaining fixtures) for a guaranteed place in the playoff final at Wembley?

More.

I genuinely think forest could finish second. Genuinely.

This is due to a combination of forest’s momentum and run-in; a concern of how we might do in our remaining tough games - as shown by two poor away displays; and the fact that the championship often yields a twist at the season end.

I am as puzzled by how many fans don’t think forest are likely to push us as much as I am by Waz’s faith in another team.

I wouldn’t swap our position with forest but SP and players need to perform well to get over the line. Long way to go.

At this stage in the season who would you rather have as a manager - SP or SC? No wonder they're worried.

What does 'BDTBL' refer to when they talk about Bramall Lane?
Edited - I found out - beautiful downtown Bramall Lane. Surely that's a piss take?
