I suspect a few keepers stats soared under AK given his propensity for numbers behind the ball.

My memory of the player is much like above, didn't take the initiative on crosses for such a big bloke, his overall distribution was sub standard & he made more than his fair share of f*** ups.

Very Ordinary in a Forest shirt.

Like Ioannou, easier to shift due to lower wages.

Still, every little helps.

As I’ve said before I don’t know whether hecc be was a good if a bad player. He was literally given no chance and this reflects so badly on the club it’s unbelievable.
I’d be really interested to know in the professional leagues how many players there are that have been signed for money (not in loan) who were played just once. And that’s barring a freak injury as well.

It’s all very well is constructing “bomb squads” in our head but this was an appalling piece of business, and a terrible way to treat a human being who presumably upped sticks from Sweden and moved his family to a hotel in Nottingham to do absolutely nothing…

Simply, because he was f***ing wank.

Despite being 9'2 refused to come for crosses, distribution of the ball was garbage and any shot on goal taken from within the box went in every time.

Like Hefele, a big donkey AK signing who replaced a better and cheaper younger player who had already proven their worth and ultimately ended up costing the club 7 figures of sunk investment. Found his level in the Cypriot league I suppose though.

I repeat: f***ing wank.

Ah Costel Pantillimon. The 7'4" goalkeeper who regularly jumped to 3'5"

If he was the worst player to have pulled on a garibaldi I could almost understand the way Hughton's treated him. But in the one game I saw him in he looked like a tidy ball player, if a little on the slow side. He was never given a chance to get up to speed, and considering he was highly regarded in one of the leagues always pointed to as being closest to the Championship it seems strance he never was. Really feel for the guy and wish him all the success in the future.

Hughton probably didnt fancy him, he wouldnt be the first to not fancy another managers signing. I suspect his lightweight stature probably had alot to do with it.

Its football, Bachirou would have an idea the writing was on the wall when Lamouchi lost his job.

Why have you quoted my post for this?

Unfortunately shifting Jenks, Bong and Arter is probably like shifting 20 Iaonnou's..

Yeah, that’s the issue. Bachirou and Ioannou were always favourites to move on, nobody will want Bong and Jenkinson even on a fraction of their huge wages.

I’m hoping somebody somewhere rates Arter and we can do a loan deal where we at least get some of his wages off the bill for a season.

Why did we sign this guy?

A number of reasons I guess.

1. A lack of club identity leading to weak recruitment strategy
2. Attitude of we need another body over-riding what value does a player bring
3. Relying on a manager to make calls on signing players with agent links

Saying that, I think other players who have been signed have hurt us more than him.

I thought he looked decent enough against Swansea. Certainly better than the amount of minutes he played for us would suggest.

Thats one way of looking at it but imagine yourself in his shoes, you move country with your job having been courted by another employer and you spend one day in the office before being sent on gardening leave for nearly 2 years, where presumably you have to stay in that country because you might be required... Its ridiculous, absolutely ridiculous and no way to treat a human being. I'm not blaming Hoots particularly for it, but surely he had to be worth more than ONE game??.
I'd love to hear what this guy (and the mountain of other so called "bomb squaders") think of the club and how its run, maybe its time we heard that and took a long look at ourselves as a club...

Me too!

Get the feeling he was one of only a handful of Lamouchi requested signings. Injured early doors he never really recovered from that and Lamouchi being sacked.
Was he good enough, who knows, and I guess we never will unless we trust Hughton's judgement.

I'd absolutely love the opportunity to have a 2 year paid sabbatical with my family in another country. Especially if i was being paid so much that I'd never have to worry about money.

Unfortunately I have to go to work every day to earn not a lot, with only a few precious hours of quality family time a week.

I'll not shed too many tears for the guy.

100% mate, drives me up the wall.

You got to give players a chance to play football.
