Bachirou leaves Malmö - details from Nottingham

Fouad Bachirou, 30, is about to leave Malmö FF.

According to information to SportExpressen, the midfielder is details from Nottingham Forest. The clubs agree on a deal where MFF receives around seven million kronor.

Malmö FF's midfield star Fouad Bachirou, 30, has been rumored to be on his way away from the club in rounds. Despite the fact that over the years there has been interest from, among others, MLS clubs, the player has remained in MFF and last year he extended his contract.

Now, however, MFF is well on its way to selling the midfielder to England.

Leaving for English club
According to information to SportExpressen, Fouad Bachirou is details from getting ready for the Championship club Nottingham Forest. The clubs agree on a deal where the price tag lands at around seven million kronor.

The clubs are currently discussing how the payment should be set up. If nothing unforeseen happens and everything goes as it should, Bachirou will in the days to fly over to England for the mandatory medical examination.

Thus, the player has played his last match in the MFF shirt.

Bachirou was recruited to the club from Östersund 2018 and during his time in MFF he has, among other things, helped the club to group games in the Europa League. In total, he has played 94 matches for MFF and scored 2 goals and 14 assists.

5'7 CDM. Very out of left field.

Looks a good technician. Stylistically what we need deep in our midfield.

How he would handle it here and if he can produce that in this league is the challenge.

Hopefully can transition to football here as well as Sow has (without the injuries... )

Noticed he's not long changed his agency to PlayEleven too. Same as Sow, Yohan and a lot of Olympiacos players, so seems like it will happen.

Also - comes in fit for the season, ready to go. Malmo are about 10 games into their season.

Ah this seems to be a better source than the random Swedish bloke I saw Tweet it

Tweet from a Malmo supporter: He’s more of a Ngolo Kanté type player, he’s been really good for us the last few years especially in the europa league so I’m confident he’ll make a good job in the championship.

He looks to have mobility too. Win those lose balls and then have enough to look for sharpish passing and movement.

I bet with all our new coaches coming in, they will know about all these random players

He's got the basis I think in exactly what's needed (based from that video). Malmo are a competitive team too who are in Europe every year. (he's played 41 European games).

Just about his ability to translate his game.

Hopefully be one we're praising in a years time.

Definitely the first Comorian to play for Forest I bet.

We had the Comorian with the highest market value at Transfermarkt (El Fardou Ben, sold to Red Star Belgrade with profit), you'll have the Comorian with the second highest market value.

Just noted from his Wiki that his nickname is 'Fred' and he has Scottish wife who he married in 2019 called Debbie so that's nice.

More chance of Fred Titmus giving up cricket and focusing on his football.

He should be fully match fit as well, they're 17 games into their current season which started in June. As far as I can tell he's played 12 league games (started for them yesterday), 4 cup games and 2 in Europe.

Nottingham's dirty secret
Got a good feeling about this one.

Do we think he could form a partnership with Colback behind the more attacking minded midfielder?

Bit more here

Looks to have a deft touch. It's hard to get over-exited because of the unpredictably of whether he will adapt to Championship football. But he looks like what we need in home games, when we have the ball around the edge of their box and often move it slow and without purpose. He seems to play through the lines, little movement into space, nice stuff starting from deep.

I like the look of what he might bring.

Probably wouldn't be winning many headers with those two but perhaps we're just gonna ignore winning headers and just nick every second ball possible.
