Finally got a lot of email activation emails come through. But every time I click it this is the response I get.

There is no option to contact support.

Maileon is a company I know well, they’re a German online marketing business.

My assumption here is Forest have done a deal with them related to using them for such marketing activities, using their platform (which is hosted primarily in Microsoft Azure IIRC).

As they are a German company, the GDPR should apply here.

The consent question still applies. though

I had this problem...as it takes a while for the e-mails to come through...only the last one that you requested will work.
In my case I requested the e-mail twice, as I thought the first one hadn't come through, when the first one came through it didn't work, when the second one came through it did.
If you've clicked the re-send e-mail 50 times, the first 49 that come through won't work.

Yeah. As I posted yesterday in this thread, you get automatically opted-in to a load of marketing stuff and have to then go an remove yourself. That is not how it is supposed to work.

This whole setup looks to me like something that has been lashed together quickly and deployed without proper testing.

I almost pity the poor folk in the ticket office, I bet they’re getting some pelters today.

Well that went well. Spoke to a very helpful lady, only on hold for 3 minutes....she changed the 2 email addresses for me (I had used the same email address for 3 client references, took a minute all in 👏....credit where it's due

Fairly simple process for me, now they seem to have got their shit in order (kind of). Accounts linked, purchase history showing. Took no more than 2 minutes. (y)

Well it’s now gone 5 - and the ticket office personnel are probably ( if they have any sense ) in the pub.
Waited on the phone for over 45 mins with no response.

Oh & the lead message before you’re invited to select your ‘extension number‘?
Bloody Take That tickets!

Continues to go spectacularly well, can't link either of my 2 ticketing accounts to their matching club accounts since day 1, emailed tickets@ who tell me that one account hasn't been created (it has) and the other just needs linking (it won't) 🤦‍♂️

Holding off telling them I'm techy for now...

Update, apparently, it's my fault for using aliased email addresses.

Really hasn't been tested this...

And of course, such configuration would, and should, be part of a proper test program.

It’s yet again another fantastic „Frank Spencer“ moment from Forest.

They didn't like me pointing that out or the way it could/should be avoided if it doesn't work, or that they were in the old system like that, so that the data should have been checked for issues!

While i was away in Exeter my Mrs first pre-ordered the new Take That CD (£13.50), and then waited for 90 minutes in a phone queue befor shelling out £260 on 2 tickets.
I have NEVER paid £130 per ticket to see any band, and I have seen loads of the big rock and prog groups over the years.
Shakes head in disbelief.

Still, she did go with me to see King Crimson at the royal concert Hall back in 2018, and she hates King Crimson.
Sometimes I just don't understand her.
She's waited 5 years for revenge and made you pay for it in more ways than one - I don't think there's much to not understand.

Talk about playing the long game :D

Looking forward to your match report for this one ...

Presumably using an alias through a third-party identity provider, such as „Sign in with Apple“, where Apple creates a (bogus) alias address to hide your real address and then forwards any mail from the alias to your real address, so it cannot be then harvested and spammed (or disclosed by careless organisations who cannot secure their data).
