I went and watched Unterhaching a few years ago in the 3rd tier and they probably had a similar gate to a League One side.
SpVgg Unterhaching, currently in the 3. Liga, have a capacity of just over 15k, and while they often suffer as their suburban München status means they potentially lose fans to Bayern, they are well supported.

Over half the the capacity of the Sportpark Unterhaching is „standing“ terraces, and these are generally very well populated (a colleague of mine is a fan of Die Haching, she is from Unterhaching originally).

A proper decent old club, one who has graced the Bundesliga in seasons past.

Schalke 04, in the second-tier, have 160.000 members. And consistently sell out the 62.000-seater Veltins Arena. In the second-tier. Hamburger SV (remember them?) who’ve rotted in the Second tier for five seasons now, are similar.

FC St. Pauli, the hipsters‘ favourite, sell out the 29,5k Millerntor-Stadion every other week (and could sell considerably more).

Many 2. BuLi clubs get the sort of crowds English teams could only dream of (go also look up 1. FC Nürnberg or 1. FC Kaiserslautern, for two examples)

Crowds in the 3. Liga are also decent.

Hell, my local „lower-tier“ club, SC Stammheim, who compete in the Bezirksliga (which is the eighth-tier of German football) get decent crowds on a Sunday.
Yeah Strum ya can nit pick a couple of historically big clubs that have fallen on hard times such as Hamburg & Schalke that have maintained decent support but let's be right you Germans can't support 92 professional league clubs like we do here in the great nation of England

& you lot only play about 12 games a season

Setting aside the Germany v England debate,I’m sure of 2 things-
The depth,tradition and competitive nature in the English game (way down the leagues) far exceeds that in Germany (Indeed-I believe attendances in the Championship are generally way
higher than those in the German 2nd tier-the well supported clubs you mentioned are probably
having to play at an inferior standard because the German 1st Division only has 18 teams).
Secondly,and more importantly (a point Eddie was making)-the culture of the English football
supporter means that the majority of fans look forward to the festive programme.
It’s generally accepted that the depth in the English club game far outweighs anything Europe
can offer.
When in Rome….

More fixture bollocksing-about-of.

That’s a lot of watching the games live (on Optus) out the window:

* Everton - 4:30am KO (too early - I’m old)
* Fulham - 6:30am KO (off to see Souls of Mischief that night - falling asleep at a gig)
* Spurs - 7am KO (even the missus will watch this…well…maybe 2nd half)
* Newcastle - 11:30pm (same time as the Inoue v Tapales fight)
* Man U - 4:30am KO (guess I’m staying in for NYE - I’m old)
* Brentford - 4:30am KO (too early - I’m old)

Not the best in Australia then either!!

Moving the spurs game to Friday night means we have to move our night at the Boat Club.......AGAIN.
Do you need to remember the matches and fire lighters

I want football at 3pm on Saturdays. That means that I can use public transport to get there and back. (RMT/ASLEF permitting).

Night games means a drive, away games on a Sunday probably mean a drive. It takes the shine off the matchday experience.

I get the appetite for PL football, I get the huge sums that the broadcasters put in but there ought to be a cap on how many games that they are allowed to change per team per season.

Was already resigned to missing the Everton game now I’ll have to add the Spurs game to that ☹️. Just got a ticket for Brighton, will be that last one before Xmas 🤶

In the days of my youth, the boat club brought the best bands of the day to Trentside every week.
And every week me and my mates would go and have a belting good time.
afterwards many of the musicians would mingle with the punters in the bar.
In its hey-say it was much better than Rock City...

Brit Boat and Union were cracking venues back in the day,Thursday to Sunday nights at one or the other were always packed out…Brit for the teeny boppers,Boat for the headbangers and the Union for us “smoothies”…fun times!

I normally hate date and time changes, but this could work in my favour. I feel a "working weekend" is needed to justify not travelling home for the weekend and then see what ticket I can conjure up ....

Looks like Sky have left the Liverpool game alone!

Is there still a chance TNT might get this or are we safe to assume 3pm Sat KO as scheduled?
