First Home Game. The Globe.

I am not sure where the old sticky Globe thread is hiding so I thought I would make a polite enquiry as to the Globe opening time prior to the 1:15pm KO against Dirty Leeds.
The information is needed as we do not return from holiday until the Saturday evening and we need a plan.
This will include an early visit to the shop for vicarette shirt purchase and of course pre match refreshments. Transport must be arranged and a decision made whether to stay for post match chips ,or would that dent the appetite prior to the Sunday roast.
Life never used to be this complicated. Perhaps Cassie will clarify!

Me and the only other Forest fan from my area managed to convince the ladies to drop the Mediterranean beaches this year, in favour of a trip to Nottingham. (Though the other option was Albufeira! ;-) but couldn't go because of work) So four Vikings in attendance for this one. Can't wait! :)

If I knew how to write Mediterranean, and didn't use copy and paste from google, the word beaches would only appear once, but when I edit it now both go away!?

Isn't the globe a County pub, isn't there any allegiances like this any more?

Yes it is a pub for County fans, but the six of them have their own little corner.

I shall more than likely be heading to the Test Match from now on prior to the home games.

Traitor! lol

The membership card gets you money off! I never had one last year, I'll make certain to get one AND use it this time around.

May I be so bold as to ask why? Much as I admire Mr Merryweather his pub is further away and I think more expensive.

It was a decision taken at the end of the last season, I like the walk down to the ground on match day, and towards the end of the season I didn't even bother to come to the globe, choosing to walk in from West Bridgford instead, Its nothing against the globe, plus it serves quality food, and has atleast 2 bookmakers on the walk to the ground.

Mr Merryweather is just an added bonus.

Saying all this is also dependent on my homies.

I shall be there! Hopefully with "Red Line" and his family, making a rare appearance from Athens.

Test Match wrong side of Town for me, but I shall continue to contribute to the Merryweather retirement fund on awaydays

Miserable git, and proud.
Not going to this game, me and the wife take it in turns for Saturday home games, plus I wanted to go to Burnley and Bratford, and I had an idea that the game would be moved to accommodate Sky anyway so I shall be watching it from the comfort of Henry Boons, Wakefield Westgate, while my wife travels down with all the dirty Leeds fans!
