In and around the playoffs until the transfer window and then find out that low and behold, we’ve actually spent all of the Gunter money and can’t afford to get another striker.

Birmingham were utter shite today so won't read too much into today. I still think in most games we won't be particularly creative and will struggle to score goals which is going to hurt us.

Mid-table.

Mid-table.

Whilst Brum were utter wank, we did everything expected against said utter wank.

Several goals? Check. Clean sheet? Check. Dominant force? check. Kept possession? check. Nullified set peice threat? Check etc.

Remember EM saying he sacked AK because we dropped points against shitter teams at home. He'll be happy with that decision tonight.

We made them look shite.

I know, I know.

But lesser shite teams who come here for a draw will play two rigid banks of four and our conservative 4-1-4-1 formation will struggle to break them down. We don't commit many bodies in the final third and most of our chances today were one player running past their full back and crossing, and that sort of threat can be easily nullified.

Saying that, it'll be interesting to see what happens when Carvalho is back. If he ousts Watson from the side and we move to a 4-2-3-1 with Sow and Semedo holding that could make us look more of a varied threat going forward.

Also, the league early doors looks weaker than last year so there's an opportunity for us if we can take comfortable home victories like today.

Way too early to call it.

I’m thinking West Brom and Fulham for the auto spots.

If we can avoid the usual pre Xmas dip that gets the manager sacked and we can avoid any key injuries then I’d like to think top 10 is definitely a possibility.

Up-Front
Managers totally focussed on success, players are fighting for every ball & the team spirit looks as good as Ive seen it.

Weve finally got a hungry looking midfield, balance out wide & options for creativity or physicality.

Injury to Grabban would hurt, if he stays fit, we're in the play offs.

Great summary MASE.

Can't believe how well organized we look given so little time with the squad. Mouch has worked f***ing wonders imo.

Still need more quality up front in Jan

We haven't played a side out the top 8 yet, and Fulham sit 3rd too.

that's what you call a tough start.

If we want to finish in the top 6 then we have to start playing and beating teams in the top 6.

Tough start or not we should not be making excuses.

Just because a team sits above us does not mean we should be accepting second best. Otherwise we will never get to the top.

We need to start winning these games.

It's all about mid-table...
Forest will never be regarded as a force until we start making deep inroads in the 2cnd division, no ifs or buts.

We're stagnant and just tread water every year. IT NEEDS TO CHANGE :eek:mfg:
