Mr. Clough, as it is well known, was himself a prominent socialist.Seems like the club is not taking the subtle route with its expressions of how it feels about the EPL.
How does it end though?

You clearly don't know me very well. The year is 2034. Following relegation to the Championship in 2024-25 after a narrow escape the previous season, the reds endured mixed fortunes for several years, with ownership and management of the club changing hands several times. However, following promotion back to the Premier League under the stewardship of Chris Cohen and Andy Reid, the tricky trees are now looking forward to European competition for the first time in three decades.
However, @Alf-engelos Mindminackers is still going on about that time Forest made a speculative bid for Chuba Akpom on loan at the end of the January 2024 transfer window.
Akpom went on to sign for Leicester City the following summer, scoring 15 Premier League goals in 55 appearances for the Foxes, mostly from the bench.
Buck Rogers to finally lead us back to the Premier League in the 25th Century
You heard it here first
Is that a chapel hatpeg I espy?
I always have good things to say about Forest - it's why I've been accused of being a happy clapper in the past. However, none of them would be relevant in this thread. No problem mate, just putting it out there
Anyway, has anyone got anything good to say about anything to do with Forest?
We've become such a crybaby victim club. We have been for a few years now, IMO.It's getting beyond embarrassing now.

Wait a sec....that explains it all now!!We all laughed at Everton fans' reaction when they got their points deduction but ours have been just as bad over the last few days IMO
The club have said their piece, and I know it would've been Old Big 'Ed's birthday today, but posting stuff like that just makes us look like sore whingers
"Who are they"?With a fanbase to match
"Oh look at us in the top flight with a terrible bad owner, I wish we Accrington Stanley"
EEEEEXXXXXXXXXAAAAAKKKKLEEEEEEEEE"Who are they"?
One for the older readers!
Non of them are relevant in the match day threads at the minute either!I always have good things to say about Forest - it's why I've been accused of being a happy clapper in the past. However, none of them would be relevant in this thread.
Given that the panel is supposedly independent of the Premier League (but set up BY the premier League), the PL ought not to be allowed to appeal, as doing so says "you're independent of us but we want you to do what we say".So given that both sides can appeal, what happens if both sides appeal? Do both sides get to put forward their appeal or is only 1 appeal heard?
Is it a risk for forest not to appeal, because if they don't and the PL do then only theirs will be heard?
What a mess.
I have to assume that they bought players on the basis that they would appreciate in value, or in the case of Hwang, because they were cheap as Bordeaux were having a fire sale (so they didn't fall foul of French FFP). Unfortunately, Hwang, Bowler and Panzo have not pulled in buyers and so, aside from loan fees, we are stuck. Simply put, a nice idea but some bad choices were made, as is the case with every club and their transfer activity.True
Take the four points on the chin and win some f***ing games.
Shouldn't have spunked money on Bowler, Hwang, and all those other players that barely played a game for us then we wouldn't be in this mess.
Jesus Luton barely spent a penny and at least they play like they want to stay up.
I thought Derby had already claimed that title.Scousers of the East midlands, that's us.
I understand you not liking the obvious anger here but why would you think there would be any other feeling? The incomptency of this situation is abysmal. Also as fans we were constantly lied to by Nicolas Randal who said we were always looking at FFP. The financial director bless him told the board and was ignored. How can anyone not look at this and not be angry is remarkable to me. This didnt come as a surprise to us and the fanbase kept asking Randall. What more can the Forest Supporters trust do and the financial dircetor?
I still have a massive thing for Wilma, even now.I know probably everyone did but I had a massive thing for Wilma when I were a lad
Fired as chairman, but retained as a director so that EM doesn't lose control over what NR comes out with.I'm not sure fired is the correct term, as he remains a Director. He was definitely demoted, removed from role or whatever other term fits though.
That's how I dress it up
Problem is, the „bottom ten clubs of the Premier League“ are almost an irrelevance, as they are entirely replaceable, and they know it, and so does the Premier League, because there are 20-odd teams in the Championship and probably another half dozen in League One who would bend over and do exactly what the Premier League wants, just for the chance of a season or two of Premier League money. It may be incompetence (it wouldn't be a massive surprise), it may be the opacity of the EPL rules, it may be a genuine misunderstanding. It may also be a calculated gamble and that wouldn't be a massive surprise to me either. Who knows what went on behind closed doors? Anything that comes out from the club at this point is looking to reduce, or at the very least show our displeasure at, the penalty we received and the ridiculous unfairness of the rules. We're never going to admit that we tried to play the system - even if we did.
If that IS what we did them I don't blame them and I'm fine with it. There was a fair degree of optimism amongst the fans, here and elsewhere, that if we survived the first season it would be more plain sailing after that and we would push on towards mid-table. That wasn't such a stretch.
My anger (and I'm angry) is levelled entirely at an organisation which essentially exists to administer a 'competition' but whose rules are blatantly anti-competitive. This HAS to change. The bottom 10 clubs in the EPL need to all grow a pair and make a stand.
My anger is also levelled at an organisation that has made some spectacular errors in officiating on the pitch this season but has no accountability or method to rectify them. When the monetary value of a Premiership point is as high as it is now they have to do better.
Our club isn't perfect - I'll guarantee that - but football at this level is so fundamentally flawed that I'll cut the management some slack. I'm grateful we have someone like EM who is prepared to back this club and I don't think he gets enough credit for that. Especially when the odds of success are so heavily stacked against him.
We did, but unfortunately the imaginary shirts we made were all of the wrong size so we had to give a refund. Why didn't we exploit this loophole? We could have had Fawaz 'selling' some of our shirts in Kuwait to try and claw back the family fortune that he wasted.
That's why I said they had to 'grow a pair'. It's a similar situation in the political arena. People need to start to vote for the long-term rather than for what selfishly benefits them.Problem is, the „bottom ten clubs of the Premier League“ are almost an irrelevance, as they are entirely replaceable, and they know it, and so does the Premier League, because there are 20-odd teams in the Championship and probably another half dozen in League One who would bend over and do exactly what the Premier League wants, just for the chance of a season or two of Premier League money.
This is why when most PL decisions require a 14-club majority, the „rump“ clubs almost never act together in their own interests, to reign-in the „big six“.
What sells the Premier League is the (artificial) appeal of this supposed „big six“ and whoever they are playing this week, not the „small clubs“ as Richard Masters would have it.
Amen, enlightened brother. My anger (and I'm angry) is levelled entirely at an organisation which essentially exists to administer a 'competition' but whose rules are blatantly anti-competitive. This HAS to change.
