They're not fit for purpose when it comes to running a British upper league football club. I think when you’ve ploughed countless millions int a club, you deserve some say and glory when achieved, well as pelters when you cock up.

Can see us appealing just to piss off Masters.

Especially when we must be far below everyone else’s permitted losses as the teams we came up with spend 2 of the 3 year with premier league money and the other season with parachute money. But is suppose rules is rules. But the rules are bollocks.

The fact that the three who came up last season will all go down, and one may now stay up because a team who came up the year before has had points deducted for overspending, even though they had by far the smallest pitted losses says it all really about the nature of their rules.

When have they ever clawed for glory? You hardly ever hear from them. I'd certainly like an explanation from them of how we go to this point.

I wouldn't call it slagging him off, rather pointing out that at least part of all this is down to him

FWIW I think given where we were when he took over we're lucky to have him; there are some utter shyster owners out there and we could have ended up with much, much worse

But that doesn't give him a free pass to run the club in such a way that we're breaching regulations in this manner

I think we can all agree the best thing for Forest is that we get enough points to stay up and EM learns from this whole sorry episode and puts measures in place to ensure it never happens again

If we really are £4m over the limit it's incredibly harsh to not have a suspended deduction given:
1) We recovered the situation within a few weeks
2) Our permitted losses were at £23m less than every other club in the league bar Luton.
3) Our COVID permitted losses were orders of magnitude lower than everyone else in the league bar Luton.

Luton will feel they're hard done to by this, but the reality is both Forest and Luton are trying to compete in a league where the odds are stacked against them deliberately. Either don't spend your money and go back down, or spend a fraction of what other clubs are allowed to spend and struggle anyway. What choices.

With potential legal action still perhaps in play, I would not at all be surprised if this was the case.

It would be the most Forest thing ever to completely undermine any future legal recourse, by putting out an embarrassing incendiary media statement right away.
