Pass for me. He was alright when we were completely bereft of any creativity, but if we have aspirations of actually pushing the top 6 then we need better.

Player who was an instrumental part of the team that finished 2nd in 2020 (46 appearances) considered not good enough for a team that finished 25 points off the playoffs in 2021 because 'his stats aren't good enough'.
Meanwhile, a player already at Forest (Sow) who has managed to make just 47 appearances in 2 seasons, contributing a massive 2 assists, has, during that period, been deemed as a crucial part of the team if they are to be successful.

Disingenuous Eric given that Sow is a destructive defensive midfielder and in my opinion rather good at it when we could actually get him on the pitch, he was never there to score or provide goals. He wasn’t the problem-we looked a much better team with him in their.
Krovinovic, I’d have him back if the cost is sensible and that’s it. But we clearly need an upgrade on the other 2 members of the central midfield if Krovinovic is to thrive. Garner illustrated that perfectly. If we go into next season with Yates and Cafu in those berths we will have a problem if we are serious about promotion...

There's 2 qualities we desperately need, as for the rest Sow brought us we could have from the lower league players imo.
We need midfielders with all the attributes or we're going to continue to stagnate.

Unfortunately players with all those attributes aren't going to be signing for a lower mid-table championship club.
Even when we smashed our club transfer record to pieces we still only ended up with a very limited midfielder who couldn't tackle it his career depended on it... .

Sure and we also need midfielders that can tackle well, offer decent positional sense and move the ball quickly and efficiently to those that offer more threat...Kante doesn't score many (10 in 192 before you ask) but he's one hell of a player and was MOM in the CL final for me just doing the simple stuff and knitting the Chelsea side together.
There aren't many Kantes languishing in L1 because they don't bag a hatful....

Wouldnt be too quick to dig him out for lack of goals or creativity because it never felt like he was given the platform. Looked to be fulfilling a brief of constant supply liner to wide men.

Id certinly want more than Carvalho & Johnson in the role, so Krovinovic is a viable candidate assuming we have the money.

Is it really that shocking for a club to publicly over value a player they're looking to sell? I'm sure they know they won't get 8m for him, but its better to start obscenely high and let buyers haggle you down. I can see them getting 4-5m for him and i imagine they'll be happy with that
