England vs Chile

Think it speaks volumes with a stat Tyldsley came out with last night.

The other week in the champions league 5 English lads played including Terry and Ferdinand.

Germany had 17 squad players all playing for their clubs in the CL.

Says it all.

v the germans next week could be a tad embarrasing i think !

1-1.

I may have missed something, but it has been 36 years since England have lost two home games in a row - summer 1977 against Scotland (pitch invading cross bar breaking game) and Wales in the Home Championship.

Edited. Sometimes I have three different sentences in my head and go with an amalgamation of all three.

It depends how seriously the Germans take it. I get the feeling they'd love nothing more than to shank us on our own backyard, especially in light of the infamous 5-0 loss that forced them to re-evaluate everything. We're going to get battered

I was pretty hammered watching the game last night before I went out, but it wasn't a very interesting game really. It was more about giving new players a chance. I still think we should be putting out the exact same team in every game (bar 1 or 2 changes) to get them used to playing together.
How are these players supposed to gel well when half of them have never played together before.

Yet they did precisely that in the reverse fixture - Didi Hamann's winner at the last game at the old Wembley, prompting Keegan's resignation

Also it was 5-1 not 5-0, if I recall, they scored first

Didn't Keegan lock himself in the toilets after the match or something?

We'll beat Germany in a filthy 1-0 with our only shot of the game and 37% possession. Cue the press going mad building up expectation for us to win the World Cup in the summer, before we are destroyed by Honduras in the last 16.

Germany will have half a side out on Tuesday,so with our full side out should get something results wise.

England drew 2-2 in Brazil not too long ago didn't they? I don't read anything into friendlies.

Saying that I've always thought quarter finals will be as good as we will get next year.

Well Ozil is Turkish and Gomez is Spanish, I'll take the defeat as a moral victory.
