They are only tired if they have had anything to do for the previous 75minsI agree.
The threat of Johnson, Dennis or Taiwo off the bench against tired defenders is a great thought.
Certainly looks the business on paper (or screen)If we still go for MGW I wonder if we'd verge towards doing something similar to what Spurs do under Conte where Kane more or less plays as a false 9 now, comes deep and drags a CB with him, Son and Kulusevski make the runs from outside to inside to get in behind, but also drag their fullbacks inside and create space for the wingbacks. We play with our attackers quite split anyway.
Something like this:
Intersting - I'd assumed Taiwo would be the focal point, but we know he's another off the shoulder type, albeit in a likes a physical battle way, and we've seen him work the left side so there may be something in this.If we still go for MGW I wonder if we'd verge towards doing something similar to what Spurs do under Conte where Kane more or less plays as a false 9 now, comes deep and drags a CB with him, Son and Kulusevski make the runs from outside to inside to get in behind, but also drag their fullbacks inside and create space for the wingbacks. Pop Estupinan and Malinovskyi in there and we could be scary. Would imagine Lingard starts over Dennis on the left. Lord knows who would start in midfield if we got MalinovskyiIf we still go for MGW I wonder if we'd verge towards doing something similar to what Spurs do under Conte where Kane more or less plays as a false 9 now, comes deep and drags a CB with him, Son and Kulusevski make the runs from outside to inside to get in behind, but also drag their fullbacks inside and create space for the wingbacks. MGW can lead aline pretty effectively too, as we saw in the semi. I'm sold, nice work!Taiwo is more of a hybrid I suppose but there will be games where his energy and more physical side will be needed for sure. As long as you have a confident player who can take a man on, play back to goal and pick a pass as your false 9 it works (in theory), we know MGW has great vision loves his flicks and linkups, is skilful and fairly strong too so I could see him playing the role. Just watching a few clips of Malinovskyi he seems to have the guile and technical ability in his locker as well. Not sure Aouar would fit the role as well though.
Primary target. If we're dropping £20m on this chap and €9m on Freuler, would it be fair to assume we're not throwing another £30m at Wolves for Gibbs-White?

Potentially chunky 8 figure fees on that left back and Malinovskyi too. I'd be very surprised if we went back in for MGW if all that comes off.If we're dropping £20m on this chap and €9m on Freuler, would it be fair to assume we're not throwing another £30m at Wolves for Gibbs-White?

You’d think so, but we needed genuine prem talent on the bench and that’s not cheap either. Would likely have needed to sign good players or large fees anyway and they’d have known that whilst bidding for MGWIf we're dropping £20m on this chap and €9m on Freuler, would it be fair to assume we're not throwing another £30m at Wolves for Gibbs-White?

Going to repeat this.Absolute belter of a middle name; almost worth signing him to see the full thing in the main forum.
Yeah wouldn’t shock me if we’ve also seen Wolves have signed players in the last week and therefore would want additional funds So we are leaking this to force the issue and get them to play ballI would think it'd be Malinovsyki or MGW but I could be wrong. I think that's one might just be a "we'll go elsewhere, I think Everton might want to loan him" shot across the bow.

100 %Not changing it until he's signed after 'the Moerno incident'...
That is pretty much what we played last season when we had the ball. Our striker spends most of his time out on the left.If we still go for MGW I wonder if we'd verge towards doing something similar to what Spurs do under Conte where Kane more or less plays as a false 9 now, comes deep and drags a CB with him, Son and Kulusevski make the runs from outside to inside to get in behind, but also drag their fullbacks inside and create space for the wingbacks.
