Whilst I would love Davies in the Garibaldi. I would hate for him to have to rot on Villa's bench again for a year. If you love someone set them free and all that!

Different types of player, but think 20m for proven is better/higher priority atm than 15m for unproven.

I'd hope if the fee becomes realistic for KD we still move for him.

Am I right in thinking Dennis is an off the shoulder type player? Fast and energetic off the ball?
Yes, played mostly on the left wing or occasionally up top for Watford

He could fit into the position of striker who drops to the left very well IMO.

He is a very good counter attacking player, I think he was involved in something like 44% of Watford’s goals last year which is the highest in the Prem.

Is this right? If so then we will still have no one able to hold the ball up

On a serious note, that he already plays with Taiwo makes him more appealing than Cornet for me (although I was more attracted to his positional flexibility).

I wonder if we plan to take a bit of pressure off BJ and ease him in a little more slowly to the new level?
Means we are screwed next time the ACN comes around though

So basically we'll never see Awoniyi, Johnson and Dennis on the pitch together. All far too similar but at least we'd have a bench option over Lyle Taylor.

So with the midfielders in already and coming in being ball carriers, and the targetted forwards being the nippy type, I think it's safe to assume we are setting up to let teams come right onto us and counter attack at pace.

Means those (myself included) wanting a destroyer type or target man probably aren't going to get that.

Options are good though, so perhaps we do manage to nab Davis back (who fit a variation on that theme last year) and Palace man (who's name I forget at regular intervals) might still have a squad role?

We might, if we played Dennis left, Johnson right and Taiwo central. Wouldn't expect to see that regularly though, and strikes me more as an in game switchup.

I agree.

The threat of Johnson, Dennis or Taiwo off the bench against tired defenders is a great thought.
