Very very Unlucky. He was left out of the Champions league list due to his past injury. He returned being important, scoring and he won his place in the Europa league. Our manager said a few weeks ago that the only player who is certain for the new list is soudani. And now this. In his age of 32 such an injury could stop a carrier.
Hope he will be back stronger. The club will help him.

Not necessarily; he had a good offer to play for an Arab team next season for very good money, but he declined, insisting that he wants to honour his contract. And the reports from his rehabilitation claim that he has worked like a horse, and may be ready much sooner than expected (late August).

You were right but six months later. He left, by mutual consent, in order to return to Croatia.
One of the most unlucky players I know. He had an entire career without major injuries and dreaming of playing in English football, then gets an ACL as soon as he makes it. He then was shipped to us, worked his ass off to get back in shape, was very good for a while, and then got a second ACL.
A football career does not survive a second ACL at this age. He'll return to Croatia where he has a house, and hopes to play football for a couple of years.

Seeing his current situation, his former club in Croatia, in particular Dinamo Zagreb for which he shone for a long time, allowed him to join the reserve team so that he could train and keep his form while he was able to find a new challenge.
