Holy shit!

A good article, despite the topic. Hope all goes well for him.

Seems like an awesome defence system Tel Aviv has though.

Why is he playing for them? He could easily still do a job in the championship, I'd have him back here in a heartbeat.

Not good enough for forest and not good enough for cardiff. Maybe Barnsley would want him as they are collecting past and present forest strikers.

You wouldn't consider it?

Not in the Cardiff team, could probably go out on loan to the likes of Barnsley or Burnley... Or try out a warm, mediterranean country, working with Jordi Cryuff, spending afternoons on the beach and weekends wandering through the olive groves. And probably earn a few quid for his troubles.

Now the war situation is always a possibility in Israel but by all accounts Tel Aviv is usually totally peaceful and it sure beats Christmas shopping at Argos in Barnsley town centre, am I right?

The iron dome they have has never let a missile through IIRC.

I'm an Earnie fanboy, and I do understand why people say he is past it and we have moved on etc etc. But I still thik he is good enough as a first squad player for us. Yes, he wouldn't be in the starting eleven most games, but he would be a good option to bring on later in the game.

I'd hope to see him back at ours in some capacity in later years - striker coach maybe

Err, don't think that's the case at all.

Most seem to be getting through but they are so woefully inaccurate there have only been 4 Israeli casualties so far.

Earlier the IDF tweeted that 42 rockets from Gaza have hit Israel today, while 20 have been intercepted by the Iron Dome system.

The iron dome is only over tel aviv, I think. I'm sure the casualties were in other areas? I could very well be completely wrong though.

In all seriousness though, I hope he stays safe!

maybe we could get the forest first team out there for some training....they would be a lot more pacey for it.....sorry bad taste, but true.

The picture mock-up on that article is bizarre. It's just crying out for a be-suited Earnie to be photo-shopped in front of all kinds of unfolding world disasters...

Weasel you are right, who on earth can blame him for earning decent money, living in a different country with a different climate. I liked Earnie, but cannot blame him making hay during his last years in the game.

Billy Sharp! hasn't been the same since he demanded we added an exclamation mark to his last name. :(

Similar to Panic! At the Disco when they dropped their '!', their next album was woeful.

They don't score goals either.

get earnie back gotta be more better than sharp, and the fans love him
You cannot honestly think this for a second.
No such thing as 'more better' by the way, but I won't rip your use of the English language to pieces again. I guess you'll repace 'more better' with 'betterer'.

Don't be daft An, more betterer is the only way to go.
