Yep he bought the ground to rent to CK. Then when CK pulled out it would have been left empty if he didn't step up to buy the club too.
not just any deadline either, but a looming deadline !Someone needs to tell Clowes that Crewton forbids the use of the D word! Sky Sports News link
So tomorrow is D-Day…
This.I'd say he's a reluctant buyer. As a Derby fan he doesn't want his club to go bust, but I reckon he didn't really want to own the club either, and he has just stepped up to the plate because it is clear that there is no alternative.
It isn't even a looming deadline, there is no such thing. It's merely an aspiration, an aim, a hope.not just any deadline either, but a looming deadline !
Don't worry, I'm sure Beardo7 will put a bet on them staying up which should pretty much guarantee them getting relegated.I just thought I'd take a look at any possible relegation adds for Derby and on Bet 365 they're 11/1 to win the division!!!
Itl be get the club secure, clear as much debt as possible, stabilise their free fall, try to get a semi decent squad, and rebuild the academy, and then sell. I think within 2 years they will be back up for sale.If Clowes really wanted the club he would have bid sooner than this past week. I reckon he was guilt tripped into it when he saw they were clearly gonna get liquidated.
It was an impulse buy, make no mistake about that. He will probably want rid of it as soon as he can.
Nixon says no issues...
Nixon says BLOCKEDThe kiss of death!
On its knees?Start with a large one and buy a third division football club on its knees.

administration isn’t the issue people have, it’s the reasons for it, HMRC for a kick off.

Hat's off to Kirch, he managed to get them a buyer who doesn't really want the club, he's forced Rooney to walk and he's even stiched up Rooney's agent to pay the wages.Yep he bought the ground to rent to CK. Nobody knows what’s found the corner ?
f*** me , if not submitting your accounts on time wasnt a giveaway. None so blind as those that will not see.

Also, I doth my boater towards Quantuma, whose actions in trying to avoid relegation, actually landed the club and it's future owner in a giant financial hole that will likely render them a lame duck for this season and probably beyond.Hat's off to Kirch, he managed to get them a buyer who doesn't really want the club, he's forced Rooney to walk and he's even stiched up Rooney's agent to pay the wages.
Secret agent CK, take bow son.
Taking the bullet for his agent more like...
I have to say his PR offensive is working as it’s 99% supportive in the comments.
Is this ‘reportedly’ the same as when he ‘reportedly’ was approached by Everton (which then seemed to morph into him turning down the job) ie Wayne says so
When Big Evangelos doesn’t release the accounts for 3 years, sell the stadium to himself, constantly fall out with every owner in the division, keep taking out external loans despite being wealthy enough to fund it himself, say we need to scale back spending then spend 10s of millions, clearly break FFP rules in the process - I am sure people will take issue and not sit back twiddling their thumbs.Don’t know why I do it to myself, just popped next door for the first time in days,View attachment 14507View attachment 14507

He's going to have to throw a lot of money into the pit of no reward just to buy the club and put even a poor team together.I also think Clowes will look to sell down the line, especially when he discovers what a money drain running a football club is.
While I don't expect him to throw the cash like Mad Mel, I do see him in a similar position of not being able to get away without making a huge loss.
They state that he paid cash for the stadium. Not a bad investment if someone is playing there. Buying the club and rebuilding it however will no doubt be in the form of loans that he'll secure against that stadium now so whoever come in will have to buy the lot.
The messy circle of debts continue.
I'm thinking of registering for an account over there, I spend so much time checking what they're up to. Could have some fun with it...Don’t know why I do it to myself, just popped next door for the first time in days,
