Yeah this, totally blindly too. Someone on twitter was using OB as a reason why we should not be selling Brennan but surely the example of what happened next to Burke is a massive reason why we should. See also Britt Assombalonga, Arvin Appiah and arguably Ben Brereton
With Hudson-Odoi and Batshuayi coming in, we'll be a bit more prepared if we sold Brennan than Oliver Burke though (as great as the fee we got for Burke was).

In mildly related news one Arvin Appiah started for Rotherham last night.

Leeds have terminated his loan and returned him to Spurs.

Had a look on the forums and some of the Leeds fans unhappy and wondering what its all about as they generally rate him when he's injury free and its being speculated that it could be off pitch stuff; Daniel Farke is a bit of a hard-ass for discipline.

If it is off field stuff it could hark back to what Warnock apparently said about him, that he could end up anywhere from non-league to the Premier League it he sorted out his attitude, but I may be doing him a disservice by citing that

Daniel Farke said of him early in December "“If he works that concentrated and focused, especially on this fitness level, because we don’t have to talk about this potential and his quality, he has proved this on this level, but if you work further on that, focused and concentrated in training each and every day and also to gain more and more rhythm. Yes, also good chances in the upcoming weeks to be involved with game time.”

You could read that a couple of ways - either he's not happy with Djed's effort in training etc or maybe he is but has just decided that it'll take too long to get back to full-fitness and he could free up a loan spot with someone else with no fitness issues. Pays your money etc...

It's no surprise to me that the only time Djed has thrived is under Cooper

You just know the lad needs a manager to stick his arm round in, believe in him, and tell him to go and play his game

The problem for him is there aren't too many of those about these days

Send Nuno Tavares home, stick Aina left back and bring this f***ing guy back.
If we're going to continue being a counter attacking team, I need to see this guy on the overlap.

Should never have gone Spurs.

Aye... Sounds like Leeds ended up with the version of Spence that Warnock had at Boro.

I can even see him just being a winger in general. With the injuries Spuds have they’d probably be better off just using him.

This guy is a reminder of what a great man manager Steve Cooper is. Things have not worked out for him elsewhere but for six months under SC he was almost unplayable.
Yep exactly.

Assuming Djed realises it, I wouldn't be surprised to see him join whichever club Cooper goes to next for a bargain basement price. And then thrive there.

Just another one of a long list of young players who want it all now.
Bit harsh - as a young player you have a good run of form and some success and someone comes in and offers you a better deal - why wouldn't you move, especially if you're confident you can make a go of it? (and most young footballers aren't short on confidence I suspect).

It's a short career and they must see so many good players at youth level fall by the wayside and never even get the chances they have enjoyed, so grab what you can while you can and hopefully be set up for life no matter what happens.

I could see him and Elanga on that wing absolutely destroying defences like him and Johnson did in the championship

However i'm happy with Elanga playing in front of Neco and Montiel
