...And they appeared to benefit for years from 'Fergie time.' which seemed to rescue them so many times over the years. To be honest the whole Man City & Chelsea thing is cringe to me. It just shows how rigged FFP is & how rigged they are trying to make it. Any club that is an established elite club is fine to spend billions, but anybody else then they have to bend every rule they possibly can. You can throw Everton in the mix too as they did have ambitions to become a top club.
It's elitist tosh, we can laugh at others and demand charges but if Forest get into the position to challenging those clubs when they have a constant financial advantage I wouldn't give a toss if my club bent the rules either. Man United, Arsenal & Liverpool would never break any rules of course, because they don't need too even though Man United in particular outspend everybody in the division in both wages & fees...
Surely not?!It's a radical theory, that because they've been a bunch of cheating bastards in one season, they may have also been a bunch of cheating bastards in other seasons.
Bit surprised by this, I thought the Premier League would back off after seeing all those pink cards.
I know, it's hard to believe from a club which was so bent it couldn't reveal its true ownership.Surely not?!
I agree with youLet's hope this thread ages well. I think Saturday will be a tough game.
There might be something in this! It's a radical theory, that because they've been a bunch of cheating bastards in one season, they may have also been a bunch of cheating bastards in other seasons.
I'd imagine most of those people haven't been paying attention to what has been happening and are falling for the media's sob story, in the same way some people did with Derby.Boring comment that I am sure has been covered, but I love how fans of other clubs (the "football family" as people like to push) have been backing Everton. I wonder if those same fans would be backing them if their spending had actually worked?
If Everton were in Newcastle's position right now would those same fans be outraged and calling the PL corrupt? Or would those exact same people be outraged at Everton for buying their way to success?
Yeah I know it's just one idiot's uninformed opinion but I'm pretty sure they got given the 10 point deduction because they knew on appeal it would (hopefully) still be around 5 points. That was Everton can "win" the appeal, but they will have still been punished, Everton will likely still stay up, nothing will change, life will go on.I'd imagine most of those people haven't been paying attention to what has been happening and are falling for the media's sob story, in the same way some people did with Derby.
Like with Derby, fans of other clubs who are aware of what they have done most likely feel very differently.
Everton deserve their punishment, and are very lucky that they didn't get it last season (when they should have) and are probably going to get their points deduction reduced (or maybe even scrapped altogether) because no one running the show has a spine.
Sadly that is probably what will happen; they'll stay up (I think they would even with the 10 points deducted), get new owners and will be throwing money around like confetti in the summer again.Yeah I know it's just one idiot's uninformed opinion but I'm pretty sure they got given the 10 point deduction because they knew on appeal it would (hopefully) still be around 5 points. There will be further punishment for everton so by the time this is sorted out they will be lucky to even be in the championship.I'd imagine most of those people haven't been paying attention to what has been happening and are falling for the media's sob story, in the same way some people did with Derby.

Forgive me for liking your post Erik if it was sarcasm (and I only say that because of the Steve Bruce posts!) but Dyche is a great manager for the position they are in and they'll be more than fine with him in chargeThey have a very good manager.
