I would rather worry about the other 36 games than 2 games against United which we will probably lose irrespective of who’s in goal.

Wow, ambitious. Surely will be on loan though as the new contract he signed after his Sheff Utd loan was huuuge. Can’t see how we’d sign him even if we did stay up.

Unless big ‘Vang is going HAM this window….

They are some very good sources, no reason to doubt the validity.

It would be a huge statement signing and a good start. I really hope it can be a Perm, but doubt it.

Would still be easier just to sit Brice down and sort his situation out though. As good as Henderson is.

What a signing he’d be, great GK.

I think there will be mixed feeling on him being loaned. We keep more spending money this year, but likely lose Garner.

With Garner though, I guess it’s risky to wait on him going through Utd preseason, and we can’t put our other business on hold hoping they loan him to us again.

Unfortunately there's no time for sentimentality where Brice is concerned by those at the club. If you (or your agent) wanna run to the papers at the first chance so be it, but don't be surprised if it does backfire and you find yourself on the way out, even if that's not really what you wanted. I doubt this Henderson thing is a ploy by the club to scare Samba either, it wouldn't be coming from Fabrizio Romano if it was.

On Henderson: there's absolutely no reason for him to think he couldn't go to the World Cup in 6 months time if he's playing regular Premier League football. Pickford will almost certainly go as number 1 but I think the other two places are absolutely up for grabs.

Imagine, last game of the season and we need a win to stay up. We play Man U, so Henderson can't play, so we have to start Jordan Smith :D

Yeah, no thanks on the loan thing
No need to imagine, fixtures are out tomorrow so we'll know for sure if this is a problem. 18 out of 19 chance we won't be playing Man U last game of the season anyway.

Perhaps Man U will be looking to avoid relegation

Yes, agree completely with that. No doubt Henderson will be eyeing up one of those spots and he's almost certain to come in as No1 here irrespective of how well Samba has done.

I know Henderson is a fantastic goalkeeper but does anyone know what he's like with his feet? Samba has been integral to how we've played. If he's nowhere near as good in that department it could signify a shift in our tactical approach.

There could be a loophole that would enable us to get garner back still on loan, it states in the rules that if the loan in question could be made permanent then we might be able to have another.

Potential issue with this (other than garner) is that if we do go straight back down, we're back at square one. Perhaps we'd be ok with Horvath in that scenario.

Exciting times again.
