Was he really injured?
I thought he might have an agreement with ethan to come off when the game was safe, so Ethan got to play at Wembley in ther Final?
I think he was.

When he went down for it he could hardly move on the pitch and in the celebrations after especially walking up the steps.

Looked like he had a fair gash on his leg but maybe that was just the mrs :p Didn't look to me as though it was a bad healer.

But bringing on Ethan for the end was the right thing in several aspects as his run in the side got us plenty of points which helped us in the end.

Most people were entirely happy with Samba going into the PL. It was one of the few areas that seemed that we wouldn't have to worry about, leaving the other positions more of a priority. If that's changed because Samba wants more - or because he's deemed not good enough - we've an even bigger task.

I think some people are unaware just how good this fella is. He was phenomenal for Sheffield United. He'd be a HUGE factor in our bid to stay up- even if it's a loan.

I reckon he'll be England number one in the future as well.
Yep. If Samba is off, Henderson is as good a replacement as you can possibly hope for.

I remember Birmingham City taking Joe Hart on loan from Man City, who managed to finish 9th with Hart winning player of the season for them. A similar thing happened with Henderson and Sheffield United in their first Premier League season.

A top keeper can make a real difference. If Samba is off, then Henderson may prove to be a crucial signing.

I was very happy at the thought of Samba and Horvath being our goalkeeping resource (with Jordan Smith as the third) for our start in the Premier League.
Indeed, I was relieved to think that it was one of the few positions where SC/DM wouldn't have to spend time in recruitment negotiations.
Assuming the apparent rift between Samba and NFFC (real or just media speculation - who knows?) is a reality, I think if Henderson is available on a loan to buy, or just as a loan, it would be a very positive move.

Rumour has it that while we might enjoy Samba's antics, Cooper doesn't. The red card and yellows for continual time wasting in particular annoyed him.
I absolutely loved Samba and his antics. I think supporters did took because he engaged with them and he was a refreshing break from the dour vanilla stuff from the new generation of players.

I did however get the feeling that Coops was never entirely happy with him, maybe because I also knew that Samba was not the greatest timekeeper or in any hurry to get to team meetings.

I'm a big fan, and like others was intrigued/excited to see how he played in the PL (though a bit concerned that his mistakes would be costly). I can though understand Cooper's frustrations and you wonder if he's not entirely disappointed with how this is playing out.

Henderson, at least on paper, is a significant upgrade but character in a side is important too and that's a big hole to fill.

I think Coops has HUGE influence on who comes and goes.

And that makes me so happy, and so it should the rest of you.

Henderson has got buckets of character. Wants to be the best keeper in the world and believes he can be. He’s no shrinking violet….

I'd imagine Cooper and Murphy have a very good working relationship (Cooper was Murphy's number 1 choice after all), so I have no doubt that Cooper has a huge say as far as transfers (incoming and outgoing) are concerned.

Great that he wants to be in the 3 lions squad for Qatar - defo better than Ramsdale.

Even better that he thinks Forest could be a team where he can show his form.

If we’ve bullied United into giving us the option I think we’re in for a massive summer.
As I posted the other day, I used to work for one of their sponsors Back in the 1990s and I still have a few acquaintances who are Man U fans.

Their collective opinion at the the moment is that their club is run in an absolutely shambolic manner, and that all the Glazers are interested in is extracting profits from their leveraged buyout, and that the current „management“ is frankly incompetent.

I don't think we can bully ManU into anything. But it does seems we stood our ground and that bodes well for future transactions. Really like this setup.
Anyway. Henderson with option to buy is --as has been mentioned-- quite the statement.
