Gary has said that he joined Forest as they are 'a big club with a big history and a manager that will take them right back where they belong'.
Matty has said that he left Forest as they are:
'shite, I joined them to play in the Premiership against Harchester United, not in League One against Melchester Rovers.'
All quotes in this post are from today's 'Nairobi Star'.

Re: [STICKY] Confirmed NFFC Update Thread

Gary Megson is lining up another signing today in the shape of Argentinian full back Gino Padula.

The 29 year old defender has been with Queens Park Rangers for the last three years and played 35 games for them last season.

He first moved into English football from Spain when Ian Holloway signed him for Bristol Rovers in October 1999.

But Padula, who was born and brought up in Buenos Aires, moved on to Walsall and then Wigan before signing for QPR in July 2002.

If he joins Megson's recruitment drive he will Forest's fifth capture of the close season.

The Argie left back as mentioned in the previous post has become a player at Nottingham Forest. This is the 5th signing in close season for Megson so far

Forest are held to a 0-0 draw with Boston, moving on to beat Uri Gellor's Conference outfit Exeter 2-1. The pre-season finishes on a disappointing note, with a 2-2 draw away at Torquay.

Oh, and John Curtis has signed.

Shock, surprise and delight as Johnson and Dobie actually score goals to give the Reds all three points on opening day. They beat Huddersfield Town 2-1.

Megson furthermore shows his craziness by playing Wesley Morgan up front for the last 10 minutes.

Forest get anally raped by the ref as they lose 3-2 to Walsall. Some very dodgy desicions see Rune Pedersen sent off as the curse continues...

Forest lost 1-0 at home to Scunthorpe, and as such attain what is commonly thought to be their lowest EVER league position.

The game saw Forest dominate possession but utterly fail to create any penetrative football.

Brian Laws, former Forest great and Scunthorpe manager, still tips us for promotion.

Forest have signed Eugene Dadi on a free transfer from Tranmere - he is a 6'2" striker, 32, and is widely not expected to contribute much more than many fantastic headline pun opportunities.

Let's hope he surprised us!

Adam "sicknote" Nowland (aka. Mr Bump) has signed an interim deal with Preston North-End to be eligible to play against Brighton tomorrow - with a view to a longer term deal to be agreed next week.

Presumably this means he passed a medical!

Forest win 3-1 away to Gillingham with Johnson, Dobie and the young prodigy Spencer Weir-Daley being the scorers.

The Gillingham goal was apparently offside but I don't think many people are to fussed about that!
