Mutual termination it is then.

Shame, always thought he was much better than bomb squad material.

Liked him and wish him well. Good player, but not the right time to be at Forest

I wonder if we'll ever learn why he got dropped by three consecutive managers, despite playing fine initially.

I suspect neither the club nor the player would benefit from any such information coming out. May have to wait for someone in the squad to be famous enough to write a biography.

Always thought he did a decent job when he played.
Looks like just the wrong time to be here.

Wish him all the best.

He was alright, solid mid table Championship midfielder. I think he became a much better player in many peoples minds when he wasn't playing though.

No ill will towards him, but I'm not going to lose any sleep over his exclusion and now his departure.

One million percent. Reading some of the eulogies on Twitter and I thought we'd released John McGovern.

Yeah, he became a useful stick to beat the manager or other midfielders who were currently playing with while he was out the team, which always puzzled me. I could understand somewhat if he was a player on par with the likes of Colback and Sow, but he never was anything other than merely half decent for me.

Think they were going off the performances he had for West Brom rather than Forest.

He was good in his prime for West Brom, yes. That was quite some time ago now though, there is a reason West Brom didn't keep him.
