Why do I have to pay extra to watch Stoke v Bolton? It would have been much more interesting than watching two teams both from Manchester. I went to Manchester once. The hotel I stayed in had a curled up old sandwich in the wardrobe. Worse than that, It was an egg sandwich. Someone had left a poo in the loo unflushed. I demanded to be moved to another room. Then I went to work as an assistant examiner for English Literature. We all sat marking GCSE papers in a big long room. The woman next to me complimented me on the speed at which I was getting through the papers. Then, some chief examiner came down and told me my last batch of papers had been wildly inaccurate and my services were no longer required. I told her that she was a dirty Northern bastard and went home.
I mark for the Welsh Board now. We get to have meetings in the millenium stadium in Cardiff. They pay 50p a mile on expenses. Coming from Norfolk, that's about a grand before I even start marking. This year it will be difficult because I am supposed to be cleaning up after a rock festival at the same time. That's to pay for the Moscow trip.
The sad thing about this post is that every single word is true except the dirty northern bastard bit. I just said 'Oh, I'm sorry about that'. Manchester is a really crap place to get sacked.

I would say City were the favourites to win the final now, though after the Bolton thumping today I can't discount Stoke either.

I think I remember them saying while watching the game that Man City have only won once against Stoke in the last six outings, so it definitely won't be that straight forward for City. They are still favourites though.
