100% needs a contract extension, we're awful and yet he is still scoring.

Even at 100k p/w we won't find a cheaper overall replacement.

32 years old, we should be able to lower his wage to 60-75k and then that a bargain tbh.

When he is fit he is proving time and time again for us that he is devastating.
The attributes he has got are not going to make him a worse player in the next 2-3 years.
As long as we play to his strengths he will get 10-15 goals a season.

10 goals already this season where he has been injured and out for some time

7 goals in his last 8 games?

Fastly becoming player of the season

Agreed.

Just re-watching the goal yesterday, it was a phenomenal header, shame his other headed attempt (much easier) was hit directly at Hendo.

I think keeping Chris now depends on us staying up. If we go down, plenty of Premier League sides will be offering him a contract. And fair play to him, he's one of the few Forest players that actually deserves to be playing Premier League football next season.

Sit down with him Forest and find out what his plans are - Does he want to be here as a good back up in the Premier League or main man in the Championship? Then work out a deal we can afford and he will take.

It might al;ready be too late, whilst Forest are waiting to see what league they are in before being able to offer him a contract, a lower/mid Premier League team might already have offered him a 2 year contract. Most players at Wood's age want the the security of a 2 or 3 year contract so he might already have signed elsewhere.

This. As someone pointed out yesterday I think it’s now up to the player as someone will offer him the money for a year or two.

It was mooted in January and people laughed. I’d say he’s better than Wout Weghorst though for a start
He was my reference point. Wood won't do what he does, but if you create chances he'll convert. I hope we can keep him. Two year deal with third year option for me, though suspect he might get offered more elsewhere.

Yeah different players despite the common perception of Wood as a target man. Also plenty of people were also laughing when United signed Weghorst to be fair.

He's clearly one of the best finishers in the division whether it's with his head or his feet. A hold up player he isn't - which takes a bit of getting over for his size - but he proves given the right service in the area he will hit the target.

When you look back on here and read all shite and pelters Wood was getting this time last year. 😬
Yep
It's the same old story with Forest
We wont give certain players a chance but others get more.

Look at the shit Tavares got - and since he has been out we have only just started to play in a similar way, in periods, from when he was playing and rampaging up the left

I firmly believe Sangare will come good - Not this season though
He should not be ahead of Dom and Danilo

Yep, totally agree pal, although I'm not too sure about Sangare yet.

Sangare got worse yesterday as the half went on. But I could just sense though that the crowd were almost willing him to give the ball away so they could start howling and wailing. I don't think these people are helping, sorry.

Sangare has been gash and that is putting it nicely.
Don't think he has had one game where he has looked half decent.
But there is a very very very good player there.
I would bin off him this season and get him to start working on next season.

I think Sangare is a tricky one. He was a good player in a decent PSV side playing in the CL but then our Greek keeper had a decent record in a CL side too.

With the likes of Tavares we knew he had some talent and some weaknesses from him playing for Arsenal and likewise with Wood who has scored wherever he has been including several years at Burnley in a poor PL side.

But I'm not sure what Sangare is or what he offers, what type of player he is, he doesn't seem to be anything but a waste of 35m tbf.
