One of the things I so looked forward to under SOD, was his involvement in the development of the football ethos from youngest youth team, through to the 1st team, a method and understanding the way the game would be played by the team, enabling the planned seamless step up for the top talents through the ranks.
This is essential for continuity of a club. BD maybe has not been given or even given himself enough time to develop this strategy at previous clubs or his time at Forest.

No but I think we have some very promising crops in the lower age groups - some even saying that they are better than our current U18s. He's got a lot to work with already and some exciting prospects in the pipeline.

You could well be right.
I think having Charlie back as a bridge between the Academy and the first team is excellent.
