Not seen it posted anywhere and apologies if so.

But he has apparently been appointed new Under 21 coach. That's the development squad (reserves) isn't it?

All according to Billy's agent Jimbo on twitter.

Sums up the indifference on here to anything other than the 1st team that there has been 2 posts in 12 hours on this.

Another top coach in the fold ready to combat FFP, that is great news for us.

Has he singed yet?
It's not indifference, I'm sure it was mentioned in the match day thread when he was spotted walking out onto the pitch with Billy.

JWJW retweeted Paul Taylor , that was it no follow up comments other than your

Have a look at any of the other threads mentioning the youth set up, it goes beyond indifference alot of the time.

Good news.

Club appears to be getting organised following recent upheavals.

It seems like a good appointment. The lack of posts on here just shows the indifference to postive news, if it was a thread for attacking Billy/Fawaz there'd be thirteen pages of foundationless accusations from nob heads claiming Billy/Fawaz are trying to destroy our youth system. Instead it's another step in the right direction.

Maybe its because of the constant chopping and changing?

Theres been so many sackings and new appointments that now people are less interested, and are must just interested in the team turning itself around

Plus we all know Macparland will be unemployed in a month anyway ;)

Bring back Frank Barlow and we have the dream team back together again

Same young lads trying to make it though.

One thing for Billy is when you are in, you're in for life! Charlie has joined the Scotia Nostra now.

Oh I agree, but those players have to actually make it at some point.

We've been on about Lascelles, for example, for about 3 years now- but hes apparently still not ready to be given a chance.

Its no wonder folk are indifferent to something thats not really produced much in the last 7 or 8 years.

Hopefully now it can finally crack on!:)

The fact Charlie is back in any capacity makes me think that the club is really starting to move forward. We havent produced youngsters like we have since he was at the club, and Im genuinely excited to hear his name linked with the club again. Well done Fawaz, things really are on the up. Tend to agree with Rowntree, if this was a negative thread everybody would be going nuts.

Lascelles is probably ready now abilty wise but has had some real bad luck with injuries, same story with his old partner in crime Karlton Watson who could still make it with Leicester but lost a couple of critical years in his development due to an injury.

Karl Darlow has been with us since he was 16 and Dimi is currently learning his trade in our academy.

The academy do produce players but have been plagued by some shocking luck with injuries in recent times.

Credit where it's due Billy does seem to be taking alot more of an interest than I could have hoped, long may it continue.

Decent appointment. I believe Charlie had a similar job at Forest the 1st time around before he stepped up to the 1st team.

There are many people out there only "bothered" so much because its a reason to criticise Davies. Anyone ever talks about how important our academy is 8 times out of 10 it's to back up their thoughts on how bad Billy Davies is.

Just because we have decent coaching additions doesn't mean we will suddenley have an influx of academy stars. This will need to be a development over many years. I like the fact that Billy is going to get involved throughout the club. We can already see what his influence has had on the first team and most fans.

Really? The people on here who are interested in the academy have kept up their interest through the last few managers, ie McClaren involving Jamaal, Watson, Freeman and Morgan in his 1st pre season.

Some people have had reservations on Billy's influence over an academy because he doesn't have a great record of bringing players through, that doesn't mean they are anti Billy.

I personally am chuffed to bits to have Billy back from a 1st team point of view and I'm starting to see/hear that he is having a positive influence around the academy which will have to become an integral part of the club if we are to comply with FFP and remain competitive.

It seems at the moment that Billy is embracing Forest as a long term project which could be great for all concerned.

The long term aspect is definately a positive thing for me. I think with the coaching team and Billy they will have a positive influence throughout the club and hopefully make us successfull for the long term.

I think the longer Billy is here this time we might realise he was never the problem the last time he was here...

Mouldy's right though, people have just used the youngsters as a stick to beat him with. They've gone quiet now though 'cause the more time passes the more it turns out they were spouting bollocks.

I wouldn't be surprised to see our youth system start to produce youngsters again but it won't happen over night. The club has been rotting from top to bottom but there's no reason why the overhaul won't sort things out lower down as well as in the first team.

Rowntree,

If you caught Billy shagging your dog, would you blame the dog?

Everything is not an attack on Billy, it's ok to have and express concerns as I have done. I have also shot someone down in flames who I was able to prove was lying about Billy's negative influence. Initially Billy did ban all of the underage teams from the academy without explanation or assurances, this caused concern within the academy but now seems to have been resolved after about a week.

He's not the messiah, just an excellent Championship manager who seems to be idealy suited to us most of the time.
