Chambers having a medical at Ipswich today

Despite all the negativity, I'd just like to thank Luke for his 5 years of effort. It might not have been brilliant in 11/12, but lets admit it, we can't just think of him in that light. He wouldn't have earned player of the year for 2010/2011 for nothing.

He doesn't deserve half the negativity he gets on here.

Cheers Luke and good luck.

This.

No wonder my post count..
Bye dickhead. You sealed your own East Anglian fate with that crap after the Coventry game. I don't boo at games, but if I did, you'd be getting some next season. And to think I wasted all that effort defending you for the four-and-a-half years you were here before Coventrygate.

So based on one game you hate him with all your might?

He was useless at RB before Gunter, when we used to play Wilson/Breckin/Morgan in the middle during L1 and the begining of our first Champ season. And he was largely useless last season.

Though he did have one good season, and he was always a 'tryer'...last season perhaps being the excepetion. If he hadn't had some stupid comments to the press he would be leaving with most fans more or less on his side.

He did his job as captain with that interview, the players asked him to mention that booing doesn't help, he did so and deflected all the flak off them too.

On a slightly different note Why the hell have Ipswich got 3 stars above their badge?.
3 times second division champions ???.

They're not silver stars.
Still bloody cheeky though/the sign of a small club.

Luke Chambers: 'Mind was made up midway through last season that I needed a new challenge".

A new challenge? Would you like to elaborate on that Luke...

They won 3 trophies back in the day under Robson.

Was it two FA cups and a UEFA cup?

I don't see a problem with it, the whole stars thing is very watered down from what it used to be. I dislike it when it's minor trophies, those cups for a club the size of Ipswich were incredible achievements. Let them look back fondly, god knows we do it enough.

The problem with stars on shirts is that there is no rule that says you cant put stars on your shirt for anything you want. I believe Man City have 3 stars on their shirt because they thought it looked nice.

Personally I would bring in some rules to govern it. Gold stars for Euro Cup/Champions League, Silver for Uefa/Cup Winners Cup and maybe a white/red/blue/any other colour star for every 5 top division titles - sort the men from the boys

Personally I would bring in some rules to govern it. Stars for European Cup. Nothing for Champions League, and everyone else can f*** off

Better. :)

Good luck Luke Chambers. thank you for your efforts.

One day history will record you as someone who once played for us. It's a cross we will try to bear with dignity.

History will remember him.

Perhaps not as fondly as he would like.
