I dunnno, Blackburn away last season we won 2-0 when they were high flying and promotion was just a twinkle in our eye, taking us into the top 6 for the first time and having the fans shift from daring to dream to daring to believe. Our guy smuggled the speaker in and Depeche Mode was blasting out at full time.

Anything could happen in these games. The ties are being played one day after the world cup final so the top teams will be fielding significantly weakened sides.

This will be a tough game, but I relish it. Great to get the 2nd half of the Season underway with a draw like this. I will 100% be attending and hope we give them a good game.

Jon Dahl Tomasson has got that team purring, at 46 he has a bright future in football.

Let’s hope we smash them.

I think we will get up to 8000 tickets for this one, I expect it will depend on the prices for a lot of people just before xmas

That's probably the safest draw for us, avoid the big boys as well as the inevitable slip on the banana skin of someone like Lincoln City or Gillingham. If we were at home I'd go 100% win, but away, more 70%.

Just had a quick look at the Blackburn forum and they seem to think it's a good draw for them and one they can progress in. I think they are underestimating the gap in premier league quality and that we won't be fielding a weakened side like west ham.

I shall be going to this with my boy and my Rovers supporting mate from Burnley.

When do we think the actual date of the match will be announced?

This will be a tough tie. Tomasson has worked wonders there. My mate's only complaint is that they can be a little inconsistent. The no draw since the start of this season is mad. Saying that he thinks they'll get their 1st draw in their big local derby on Sunday.

The first time in decades we have a genuine chance of winning the competition, not only because we are a PL team now but we have a good enough squad now.

I am a bit gutted it isn't a home tie, but they made wholesale changes & still went through against West Ham away. And they come back from the WC break a bit earlier than us, so don't know what difference that could make.

Beat them & we are already in the quarter finals. If we get through this & get home ties whilst avoiding Liverpool/City there is realistically a pathway there.

I’m actually gutted as fancied taking my daughter to her first away game here. But I’m working away that week 🥴

Absolutely. Only a certain type of total idiot wants to go to blackburn away on a Tuesday night in December.

In the past me being one of them 🤣
Indeed, you have to be certified insane to attend a night match at Blackburn-a feat I managed to achieve in
March 1997 when I saw Pierre Van Hooijdonk make his debut in a 1-1 draw as Forest slid towards yet another relegation.
