I would guess either of Steele or Smith are available and the other will stick around as third choice. I thought Pants would be off as soon as we signed Muric.

If I was Pantilimon I wouldn’t want to be second choice at a second tier club. May as well be second choice at a top tier club instead. Reading between the lines I would guess a move elsewhere has already been agreed in principle and all concerned are only waiting until Forest bring in another keeper.

Our transfer strategy in this window thus far has been perplexing to say the least.
I hope we're not spunking £4mill on a 5th keeper at the expense of a proven midfielder and striker which we s badly need.

Where was it ever reported we were paying 3m for Sow? Nixon never mentioned a fee, the sky link never mentioned a fee and the French journo had it at €700, 000. I could of missed it but im sure it wasn't reported to be so high.

I can imagine Pants, someone who finished the season in form & with a good clean sheet record, isn't too thrilled about losing his place to Muric, so won't be wanting to play for the club any more tbh.

And if it goes through what does it say about the decision to bring in Muric?
To me it would say the Muric deal was concluded outside of SL's sphere of influence, and that he didn't rate him.
There had better be some really good striker, defensive midfielder and a good right back coming in as well, else we are fjucked.
