The fact we're going heavier in midfield and wingbacks suggests to me they are the replacements for Johnno with Taiwo the focal point, MGW the guaranteed no.10 and the rest being be built around them.

Indeed, and you can't really blame the player sometimes. Like Nunes at Wovles - you can be pissed off at him throwing his toys out of the pram but it really could be a once in a lifetime opportunity for the player.
Spurs considerably less so - though they'd be undeniably a step up, as much as it pains me to say.
Would have hurt to see him go to Brentford though. Granted, they're currently a better team than us but, in the grand scheme of things, it'd be effectively a sideways step.

You really can't if these huge clubs came sniffing you would understand wanting to move.
I don't see Spurs as that big a step up apart from they have a larger stadium and they're in London. They realistically aren't title contenders, they're not in europe, they stand as much chance of winning the FA Cup or League Cup as anyone that's still in the competition.

Specifically I went into Lidl where they have a fine looking printer that was up for sale for £49.99. I tried to employ the Levy method and insisted on paying £10 now, £7 when I win Miss World 2054 and offering some disused hand gel that I had in my car. A win win scenario as you would see it.
All that happened is that I didn't get the printer, I look like a buffoon to the whole World, still have my £10 and I also now have a lifetime ban from Lidl.
This also exposed further your lies that when things go Spursy that its actually not a good thing.
Please remove me from your mailing list and don't contact me again with any other hairbrained schemes.

His primary objective is to drive a price down to what he wants to pay, often to the disadvantage of whoever the Spurs manager is by continually not landing top targets. Hopefully, Mr Marinakis will display similar stubbornness, if of course it's true that he's closely involved in negotiations with this one?

The odd thing about Levy's regular approach is that they aren't that much of a pull - it's not like they're a top tier club - and his posturing has probably kept them out of that: the Grealish thing mentioned earlier as an example of how they could have moved on.
I like Ange but I hope he's another what could have been type that they usually end up with - realistically in terms of success their managerial record in the last twenty years I'd about as good as ours.
Anyhow, as long as there's nothing kicking off behind the scenes with BJ, which I doubt verry much there will be, we can either get what we want or keep the player.

Clearly I’m wrong and they are willing to pay it. I have always rated him and still do - I just struggle to believe any of our players (bar mgw possibly) are worth £50 mil. It’s now one of those situations where I think £50m is excellent business but I still don’t want it to happen because it’s not like I get the £50m myself.

Having thought this one through, I decided to adapt how you approached it.
I went in and offered £9.50 now, with the balance linked to 5 discrete future performance targets.
I also offered them an alternative deal of £5.00 now, and a signed photo of Harry Kane, plus a profit share for when I eventually decide to sell the printer on.
I know for a fact that NFFC have a printer that is simply not up to the demands of a Premier League club, and they are known for paying over the odds at the end of the transfer window, so a profit share is pretty much nailed on for Lidl.
However, I also know you have need of a printer.
This one can be yours for a bargain price of £51.99, but I will need the cash upfront please.

It’s okay, according to Everton even if you get in FFP trouble you can still drop £30m on a random striker.
I’m confident EM won’t let us get into bother with FFP but I really don’t care if we do as it’s meaningless, you get a little fine and a smack on the wrist for spending a boat load of Monopoly money building a team.

Quite honestly I am ready for him to go asap. As good has he has been for us and I thank him for his significant contributions, this season he has been outshined by Awoniyi and he has not looked happy right from preseason, hardly smiles unless he scores and seems to have attitude, just my opinion. I think he has checked out!

It does seem as though with the sudden rush of signings (or near signings i guess) that we have already banked on the £50M coming in....that would be a dangerous place to be. Hopefully not.
