Bendtner injury

With our injury record we shouldn't really have to wait until the weekday to get an injury fully analysed.

Forget a new stadium. We need an in house medical centre with full time qualified staff and fully equipped with X-Ray, CT and MRI scanners.

Paul Taylor said he has not suffered a broken ankle, but there is suspected ligament damage, but it will be further assessed tomorrow.

I could delete Twitter and just wait for your updates. You LOVE a twitter update.

BBC saying it was how he landed but everyone on here who was at the game thinks different.

Landing awkwardly is a common consequence of having a studded boot raked down the back of a leg.

From my lower-Taylor Stand vantage point, Morrison's 'challenge' resembled nothing less than assault!

Yep looked an awful challenge with studs to the back of his calf/ankle to me.

I would concur. I was sat right in line with it and from the Lower BC, Bendtner was in the air and the defender clearly kicked him in the back of the legs, this unbalancing him and causing him to land awkwardly.

As you say, had he not been fouled, no injury.

That the Referee missed it was bad enough but the Linesman - who was closer than me - missed it somehow also.

The officials were pap. They let Birmingham kick our lads with impunity.

He was fouled in mid air. The bloke wasn't even challenging for the ball

Where's me hammer?
I was thinking similarly Otis. A ligament injury could see NB out for many months.
when i did my acl the specialist told me id have been better off with a leg break as bones heal, ligaments dont really even with surgery.

I did my ankle ligaments once, couple of weeks on crutches and no football for 2 months. Odd feeling, felt like my foot had detached from my ankle, managed to hobble to the sideline, pulled my sock down and there was a lump the size of a cricket ball on my ankle.

'Sprains', 'twists' and 'damage' of the ligaments all pretty much allude to stretching of the ligament.

I think depending on the extent of the stretch is how doctors determine the diagnosis.

Unless of course the ligament stretches too far where it rips completely off the bone. Then that's obviously a torn ligament.

I see it wasn't deemed relevant to be included in the "extended" highlights.

What's the difference between a twisted ankle and ligament damage?
I don't know...
What is the difference between a twisted ankle and ligament damage?

Is this like "one is for cunning stunts and the other is for apprehending criminals"?

:D

They're all technically ligament damage but severity rules. A sprained or twisted ankle (hyperextension) can heal in a few weeks but a full width tear will never be right again, just stiched together, with millions of severities inbetween.

But not confidential enough for you not to allude to it ?

Would you like to know my pin code ?
