Re: [BUPA] Arijanet Muric

I personally don't think replacing Pants should be a priority

From what I can see, this lad goes straight in as first choice, with Pants backing him up.

Steele out the first team picture where he belongs.

I doubt Pantilimon will stick around for that. He came here to be first choice rather than sat on the bench at Watford in a higher division, after all.

He has elite potential. Simple as.

Just about getting that experience which he was doing at NAC Breda until Claudio Bravo got injured.

Yep. Sofia is a long old trip to make unless City had given some sort of prior nod. Looks like a younger version of Stojković, with that little glint of madness in his eyes. Hopefully a bit better than Vlad was too.

Hopefully a lot better. Stojkovic was useless.

Question is will he score as many as Jack Marriott?

Any idea the wages that two would be on, or what we'd have to pay for Muric?

Would bringing him in for the year and selling Pants net save us a bit of cash?

He'll be fine with it. He aint getting any better offers.

Plenty of clubs (either at this level or abroad) can offer him first team football. I find it unlikely he'll be around at the start of the season if he's no longer first choice.

Serial bench warmer at Man City and Watford. I think he'll be happy doing the same here. Still got another 2 years on a contract that he's unlikely to better anywhere else.

He left Watford (and presumably a higher wage) to get first team football here, and I doubt his contract here is particularly extraordinary. He'll be gone if he isn't first choice.

I never understand the "priority" remark, it doesn't work like that in life so I don't see why it should in football. You take what you can, when you can. If you see a clear upgrade, you take it when you can.

Any Greek teams need a keeper?
Maybe our Greek friends can inform us of their goalkeeper situation? On the face of it Pants does seem to be a fit for them.

Did you mean to post that in the ‘rat up a drainpipe’ thread?

I think the young man deserves his own thread, what with MON scouting him out personally. I'd be very happy to see him in on loan.

I also like the thought of building a relationship with Man City while we are trying to get out of this league.

Even I would have stopped and held most of those sots.
It's one thing playing behind a Man City defence; quite another when you have one or two of Forest's less predictable chaps in front of you.
Still, he has to be a better bet than Luke Steele...

Looks too much like Jack Whitehall for my liking

Spoke to my old man today who is a City ST holder and had a chat about Muric. Things he is class and alot better than Pants. Apparently those at City have very high hopes for him.

Don’t worry I’m sure we’ll ruin him in a month or two

If he's a Pep keeper, does this mean we should expect 70 yard perfectly weighted through balls?
